Colgante, Apalit, Pampanga. • Three (3) dump trucks fell into the river • Drivers sufferedt minor injuries who were treated at the Barangay Hall • Apalit,-Macabebe-Masantol Road in Pampanga is closed to all types of vehicles Actions Taken: • DPWH personnel conducted damage assessment and installed road markers • PS Angelito Esteban, Chief of Police Apalit is cordoning the area and assiststing the motorist to take detour at Brgy. Sulipan along Arnedo Dike • Brgy. Captain Nicanor Lorenzo Jr. and the Brgy. Officials conducted traffic assistance at the situation III. Landslide in Catbalogan City, (Samar (Region VIII) Situation Overview: • On or about 12:00 NN, 22 November 2011, a landslide incident occurred between the boundaries of Brgy. Banuanan and Guisorongan, Catbalogan City, Samar • One (1), identified as Aldrin Avalencia Borja , was brought to the Provincial Hospital but declared dead due to sustained injuries while the two (2) others, identified as Danilo Roque (44 years old) and Eduardo Avalencia Borja (10 years old) suffered minor injuries. Actions Taken: • RDRRMC-OPCEN 8 coordinated with the Province of Western Samar, CDRRMO Catbalogan City and PNP Catbalogan Station to monitor possible effects and is continuously monitoring the situation at the landslide area • PDRRMC-Samar facilitated the burial expenses of the dead victim and deployed one (1) payloader as augmentation for the clearing operations • PNP, 8ID PA, local BFP and ALERT Philippines are now conducting road- clearing operation • DSWD, PNRC, Provincial Government of Samar and the local government of Catbalogan City headed by Mayor Coefredo “Tekwa” Uy are conducting damages and needs assessment (DANA). • LGU Catbalogan facilitated the transportation of the victims to the Samar Provincial Hospital • The 8ID PA Disaster Response Team led by Lt. Colonel Ricardo Ellorda is continuously augmenting assistance in the on-going clearing operation 2 IV. Armed Conflict in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat (Region XII) Situation Overview: • On or about 12:42 PM, 21 November 2011, an armed confrontation allegedly transpired between MILF led by Cmdr Sampula and Cmdr Gani at Sitio Baumol, Brgy Pidtinguian, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat • A total of 81 families/405 persons were affected who are temporarily sheltered at Brgy. Pimbalayan, Pidtinguian, and Mamali all of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat • Three (3)persons were reported dead Actions Taken: • OCD XII coordinated with DSWD XII for the needed relief assistance. • DSWD XII validated exact number of the IDPs based on the report of MSWDO which will serve as reference for the release of needed relief assistance • PDRRMC Sultan Kudarat has allocated an initial 81 pcs food packs for the IDPs Local DRRMC proceeded to the area to conduct damage and needs assessment 3.
