Dear

Enclosed are an agenda and map indicating the location of the first meeting of the Industrial Sponsors Advisory Committee of the Center for Integrated Systems. All of us at Stanford are looking forward to this event as the first official connection with the CIS sponsors as a group. We have seen you or your colleagues at Stanford over the course of the development of the CIS program but look forward to giving you a view of the current status of the program.

The meeting will begin with a dinner at the Sequoia Room of the Holiday Inn, where many of you are staying, at 7:00 p.m. on the evening of April 14 . We will have a half hour for cocktails and time to get acquainted, followed by dinner at 7:30. If your wife is able to accom- pany you, we would be delighted to see her at the dinner.

President Donald Kennedy will come to meet informally with the Advisory Committee at 6:00 a.m. on April 15- Coffee, rolls, and juice will be served on the patio located outside the conference room on the fourth floor of the Durand Building, Room 450. The program will begin at 8:30. We expect that it will be concluded by 4:00 p.m. for those who have an early plane to catch. Others may want to continue discussions until 5:00.

We look forward to seeing you next week

S i ncere l y yours ,

John G. Linvill
