After gaining an MA in Fine Art & Context, at the University of the West of England, she had an extended break from the creative world. Disappearing for over a decade years into the corporate world, her artistic side took a vacation. With a move into the role of Operations Director for a publishing company, she was bolstered by the artistic atmosphere created by working alongside the design team. Inspired, Becky ignited her own creative spark by taking several MATS courses. Now part of the Make Art That Sells team, she is excited to play her part in supporting others, wherever they may be in their creative journey. Passions include gorgeous colors, florals and a sense of contrast. Pastimes include travel, especially soaking up sunshine and culture, visiting galleries…………..with a meandering exit through the gift shop, doing yoga (highly inflexibly) and enjoyment of good coffee and wine. Find out more on her website and Instagram feed. Louise Gale (customer service + community manager) Louise provides friendly support to our course participants, making sure they have a valuable and enjoyable experience. In her own words: “In 2009, I picked up a paintbrush again, embarking on a new journey, leaving behind a corporate job with a windowless office. Soon after, I met Beth, at our first art retreat together, creating and both doing what we love. The moment we met I knew it was just the beginning. I have always believed that everything is connected and all the people I meet, the roads I travel and experiences I have, are there for a reason. I am so thrilled to be part of the Make Art That Sells team because it means I am part of something I truly believe in.“ Louise has lived in the UK, Australia, USA and currently resides by the beach in southern Spain. She also enjoys remote working in inspirational places such as Bali, Cambodia and Costa Rica. Jennie Stevenson (Social Media Officer) Jennie is the office wordsmith, an Oxford English grad who keeps an eye on our social media accounts and any copywriting that needs to be done. She is thrilled to have joined the Make Art That Sells team. After finishing university, she spent over a decade in London building up a varied CV which includes teaching antenatal classes, outside catering for the BBC, a postgraduate diploma in law and a foundation degree at the Wimbledon School of Arts. While her first love will always be writing and words, Jennie is also a huge fan of art and is lucky enough to have enjoyed two amazing road trips, one across the US and one across Europe, cramming as many art gallery visits as she could into two six week stints (both trips also included plenty of pizza and coffee). A Northerner born and bred, she currently lives in the glorious Cheshire countryside, where she and her husband are comfortably outnumbered by two cats, three children and a no-longer-fictional dog. She met her husband at Glastonbury Festival in 2004 and these days they enjoy visiting smaller festivals as a family; her other hobbies include reading, making cups of tea that she then forgets to drink, and taking covert naps. Over the last decade, Zoë has worked to deliver award winning books, with some of the most talented illustrators today, including Axel Scheffler, Lizzy Stewart, Nicholas Frith, Allison Colpoys, and Helen Stephens. “ Helen Stephens is my hero! Her work is beautiful, straddling a modern world with a nostalgic style. She has a good sense of humour and an amazing work ethic and most of all she challenges me all the time. She responds to my comments but always pulls a blinder with something better!” Through her work on Make Art that Sells, Zoë has discovered writing! Her first picture book for children, Ada and the Number Crunching Machine , was published in 2019, by NordSud in Switzerland and was described as: “Inspiring, feminist, and informative in equal parts.” Kirkus Reviews. This was quickly followed by Zoë’s second book Greta and the Giants published by Quarto.
