The entry was slightly down this year, but we still had a good mix of cars and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. As well as those returning year after year the number of club members taking part seems to have steadily increased in recent years. The weather was kind to us for most of the day, although we had a downpour at the end, most of us had made it to the finish pub ahead of the worst of the rain, the sun appeared again for the journey home. Tony Joiner continues to be the driving force behind this event, and along with Spence who planned the route, did an excellent job.

We start with a low cost competitive event with our Car Trial in April. If you haven't had a go at a Production Car Trial before they are fun, low cost events that are suitable for most ordinary road cars, so there's no excuse for not having a great day’s fun. Anyone who renewed their membership this year should have received a voucher for £10 off entry to an event – use this and you can even enter for free. If you are not competing then why not come along and help out? We need a scrutineer to help look over the cars, a club steward to keep an eye on things and of course marshals to do the scoring on the day. Things are also coming together nicely for our first sprint of the year at Llandow on the 12th of May.

    AMF GT3 Development Series 2018 1 Entries 1.1 Drivers 1.1.1 All drivers are expected to have read and fully understands the rules & regulations stated in this document. 1.1.2 Drivers can only drive for the team they have been registered to. Special permission may be given by stewards. 1.2 Teams 1.2.1 Each team combination may consist of a maximum of 2 drivers. 1.2.2 Points will be combined from the finishing positions of both drivers. 1.2.3 Any points deducted from a driver due to a racing or procedure infringement will be deducted from the team points as well 2 Eligible Cars 2.1 Class 2.1.1 The AMF GT3 Development Series CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 will run only 1 class consisting of GT3 specification. 2.1.2 Eligible Cars for the 2018 series will be; Ferrari 488 GT3 Mercedes AMG GT3 Audi R8 LMS McLaren MP4-12C GT3 BMW Z4 GT3 2.1.3 Car selection will be locked from Round 1 or the first race you run of the 2018 series. Any driver who does not race with the correct car will be ineligible to score points for that round.
