The Ormstown municipal library will be significantly enhanced as part of a relocation plan by the municipality that will see the library become part of a new multi-use recreation centre set to occupy part of the first floor of the medical centre being constructed on Route 201. But not all residents are happy to see the library being moved from the Recreation Centre and its tranquil corner of the town to the busiest intersection in the Haut-Saint-Laurent. “It no longer corresponds with our needs,” Ormstown Mayor Jacques Lapierre says of the current location of the library as well as the communications services and research tools being offered, which are limited by the availability of space.
