El tema de la encíclica es: “El cambio ambiental es un problema global con implicaciones graves. Ahora, frente al deterioro ambiental global, quiero dirigirme a cada persona que habita este planeta” El Papa Francisco trata la ecología como un problema complejo. “Es fundamental buscar soluciones integrales que consideren las interacciones de los sistemas naturales entre sí y con los sistemas sociales. No hay dos crisis separadas, una ambiental y otra social, sino una sola y compleja crisis socio-ambiental”. Dice que no podemos dividir la vida humana en compartimentos, ni podemos considerar solamente, naciones o razas. Somos una familia humana. Lo que una persona o nación hace afecta a todas las otras personas y nacio- nes. La encíclica “Laudato si” es muy oportuna porque trata de la crisis que enfrenta no solo la vida humana, pero también las plantas, los animales y todos los recursos del planeta. Es una respuesta para aquí y ahora. Concierne a todo el género humano, las acciones que afectan la vida y la calidad de vida en nuestro planeta.
