Vol 3, No. 5 College of Boca Raton FEBRUARY 1975 'Youth' COmes To College Of Boca Raton During the next few months, students at The College of Boca Raton, will be noticing some new faces on campus. These fac~s will belong to the stuQents of The College For Senior Americans. The College will be dedicated on February 19, in the new senior citizen center, also known as Trinity Hall. This dedication exemplifies the aim of The College of Boc11 Raton, to fulfill the desire for knowledge existing in each individual, regardless of age. The College For Senior Americans is a comprehensive project that includes health services, social. services, and continuing education for senior citizens of the city of Boca Raton and its surrounding communities. The Colle~e will have four major divisions of study. <1 > The Cultural and educational division will be concerned with films. seminars, plays, and classes of continuing education. <2> The Social and Physic(ll activities division will be concerned with physical education and group trips. <3> The Division of Medical ServiceS will offer lectures from physicians, medical referral groups, and nutrition programs. !4) The Research Dev~lopment Division will concentrate on the needs of the aged in t()day's society. Today's society does little to meet the needs of the elderly, due to the emphasis on youth and economic oriented values. These values should be reconsidered to include the importance of each human being and the unique insights and experiences, offered only by our senior Americans. It is to this goal that the College For Senior Americans is dedicated.
