    1 SIGMA ALPHA IOTA NATIONAL BYLAWS ARTICLE I - NAME The name of this organization shall be Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, whose purposes are stated in the Articles of Association. ARTICLE II - GENERAL PROVISIONS Section 1. General Policies and Procedures A. Any Fraternity procedures or obligations, either chapter or individual, which are not specifically defined in these Bylaws, shall be handled in accordance with established procedures as prescribed in appropriate Fraternity publications. B. All chapters shall comply with the policies as set forth in the Chapter Procedures Manual and other Fraternity publications. And C. Any provision in chapter bylaws that conflicts with a provision in the National Bylaws shall be null and void. Section 2. Voting Procedures All national actions voted on by the chapters and the National Officers Conference require an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the ballots cast, except for election of officers at the National Convention which is by majority vote.
