The fall active membership doubled that of the previous year, and all members were ready to make a positive impact on the university’s school of music. The first project was a fundraiser that involved making fleece throws with “UNI School of Music” embroidered along one edge. The successful project raised nearly $700 in one semester! Outreach opportunities at the university included social events with Alpha and welcoming the university’s newly appointed provost, Gloria Gibson. Spring semester started with an SAI Sister Recital, followed by the return of a favorite competition, “Mr. School of Music.” Many young men signed up to compete in a battle of musical knowledge, skill, and entertainment. Donations from local businesses, plus ticket sales, raised approximately $200, which will be donated to the UNI School of Music scholarships.
