Alfa Romeo Sponsor Dell'autodromo Di Monza Alfa Romeo Sponsor dell’Autodromo di Monza Con la quarta gara del Campionato del Mondo Eni FIM SBK Superbike 2013, ha avuto inizio la sponsorizzazione Alfa Romeo dell’Autodromo di Monza. L’accordo è valido per il biennio 2013-2014 e, durante il suddetto evento, Louis Carl Vignon, Head of EMEA Alfa Romeo Brand ha consegnato le chiavi di alcune Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde a Edoardo Valli, Presidente di SIAS SPA. Le potenti berline milanesi (235 CV) saranno utilizzate per diverse attività nel circuito monzese, quali Safety car, courtesy e Medical car. Un circuito mitico – Costruito nel lontano 1922 in soli 110 giorni, l’Autodromo lombardo è inserito all’interno del magnifico Parco di Monza e ospita sia gare di livello internazionale, che sessioni di sperimentazione nel campo motoristico. Salvo il periodo bellico ed alcune edizioni, la pista di Monza è da sempre teatro del Gran Premio d’Italia di Formula 1, oltreché il terzo circuito costruito nel mondo dopo Brooklands (1907) e Indianapolis (1909). Brand experience – La sponsorizzazione prevede che l’Autodromo sia personalizzato Alfa Romeo durante le competizioni in programma. Inoltre, vi è la possibilità di organizzare eventi ad hoc per far vivere una suggestiva brand experience ai propri ospiti, all’insegna dei valori tipici del Marchio milanese: stile italiano, alte prestazioni, eccellenza tecnica e piacere di guida in tutta sicurezza. Infine, la Casa del Biscione Visconteo mette a disposizione alcune vetture tra cui la Giulietta. Binomio vincente – Dal 1922 a oggi, sulla pista di Monza sono state scritte pagine fondamentali della storia dell’automobilismo e del motociclismo mondiali. Molte di queste riguardano l’Alfa Romeo che qui ha ottenuto parecchie vittorie significative: la P2 con Antonio Ascari nel 1922; sempre la P2 si aggiudica il G.P. d’Italia con Brilli-Peri nello stesso anno diventando così Campione del Mondo. E come poter dimenticare la 8C 2300 che esordisce nel 1931 vincendo a Monza con Tazio Nuvolari e Giuseppe Campari? Il “mantovano volante” conquista il primo posto al Gran Premio d’Italia anche l’anno successivo con la Tipo B P3, mentre Luigi Fagioli replica il successo con la P3 nel 1933. Con l’avvento della Formula 1, nel 1950 Nino Farina vince il Gran Premio d’Italia a bordo della monoposto 158 Alfetta, mentre tredici anno dopo la Giulia TZ conquista la sua classe alla Coppa Fisa, segnando l’esordio dell’Autodelta. Dal 1965 la Giulia Sprint GTA diviene mattatrice nella categoria Turismo, ottenendo innumerevoli successi a Monza. Vittorie che proseguiranno nei primi Anni 70 con la successiva GTA M. Nel 1974 e nel 1975 il circuito lombardo vede il trionfo delle 33 TT 12 nella 1000 km di Monza, portando il Titolo Mondiale Marche all’Autodelta, mentre a cavallo tra gli Anni 80 e 90 è la 75 Turbo Evoluzione a vincere le gare del Campionato Turismo. Conquiste che si ripeteranno con la 155 GTA SuperTurismo, la 155 TS e, all’inizio degli Anni Duemila, con la 156 SuperTurismo. In vista dell’Expo 2015 – La collaborazione tra Alfa Romeo e l’Autodromo di Monza Alfa Romeo Sponsor dell’Autodromo di Monza rientra in una strategia di sponsorizzazione più ampia in Lombardia. Lo dimostra, in proposito, il recente accordo di Fiat S.p.A. e Fiat Industrial che li vede Global Partners di Expo Milano 2015. Tra i numerosi e importanti contributi presenti nella suddetta partnership, figura pure l’esibizione delle vetture storiche Alfa Romeo in alcuni luoghi legati alle manifestazioni dell’Expo. A tale riguardo, è auspicabile anche la riapertura del Museo Storico Alfa Romeo di Arese; sarebbe un vero peccato lasciarlo chiuso, anche perché vicinissimo proprio all’area dell’Expo..

That was, as Jos Hugense coined the title 15 years later, the “beginning of the end”. Today, one can see Alfas running on the Fiat assembly lines along with Fiat Stilos and at best Lancia Thesis.     CORRENTI DELLA STORIA ALBERTO ASCARI (1918–1955) Last month’s essay (February, 2017), dealt with the life and work of Enzo Ferrari, who was both a race-car driver and owner/builder of high performance automobiles. He also founded and ran the racing team of Scude- ria Ferrari. This month’s essay is about one of that team’s most successful and famous drivers, Alberto Ascari. He became a very close friend of Ferrari, so much so that after his tragic death in a racing accident, Ferrari was terribly distraught and decided from then on to avoid making close personal friendships with his drivers. Alberto was the son of one of Italy’s great pre-war drivers, Antonio Ascari. He went on to become one of Formula One racing’s most dominant and best-loved champions. He was known for his careful precision and finely-judged accuracy that made him one of the safest drivers in a very dangerous era of auto racing. He was also notoriously superstitious and took great pains to avoid tempting fate. But his unexplained fatal accident—at exactly the same age as his father’s (36), on the same day of the month (the 26th) and in eerily similar circumstances—remains one of Formula One racing’s great unsolved mysteries (see below). During his short nine-year racing career, Alberto Ascari won 47 international races in 56 starts. His two Formula One World Championships attest to his ranking as one of the greatest drivers in European history. Alberto was born in Milan, Italy on July 13, 1918.

Mit der „Storie Alfa Romeo“ wird jetzt im Internet auf die über 100-jährige Geschichte zurückgeblickt. Dabei werden nicht nur die bekanntesten Modelle der Marke anhand von Archivaufnahmen aus dem Museo Storico, dem Werksmuseum von Alfa Romeo, im Mailänder Vorort Arese, vorgestellt. Chefingenieur Giuseppe Merosi entwarf mit dem Tipo 24 HP in seinem Haus in der Mailänder Via Cappuccio den ersten Alfa, noch bevor der Firmenname „Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili“ offiziell am 24. Juni 1910 registriert wurde. Die „Aktiengesellschaft Lombardische Automobil-Fabrik“ – abgekürzt in den ersten Jahren als A.L.F.A. – hatte von Anfang an enge Beziehungen zu verbundenen Unternehmen in London, Bordeaux und Neapel. Dadurch stand ihr schon früh der internationale Markt offen. Der Grundstein für die Rennsportlegende von Alfa Romeo wurde bereits ein Jahr später gelegt und feierte mit dem Sieg bei der Targa Florio 1923 einen ersten Höhepunkt. Bei dem berühmten Straßenrennen auf Sizilien wurde auch eines der heute bekanntesten Symbole von Alfa Romeo erfunden – das Quadrifoglio (vierblättriges Kleeblatt). Es zierte als Glücksbringer den siegreichen Tipo RL von Werksfahrer Ugo Sivocci. Überholmanöver mit ausgeschaltetem Licht Legendär ist auch die vierte Auflage der Mille Miglia, als am 13.
