He has spent the past 37 years in the Ma- terial Handling Industry. For the past 31 years, Robert (Bob) has spent his time automating production lines in factories across several industries. From food and beverage to chemical and manufacturing, Bob has a diverse background in packaging machinery, controls, robotics, and integration. His day to day roles are very diverse from System Sales Engineering to Project Manager. LUIS VILLASOR Sustainability – How the Journey Begins Monday, 11:30am - 12:30pm Luis Villasor is currently the Global Director of Global Key Accounts for Greif, Inc. Luis began his career with GREIF in 2007 holding a few commercial positions as well as participated in focused teams: NA Fiber Strat- egy, Global Chemical Filling Strategy, Fiber Life Cycle, and many more.

Prior to Greif, he began his career with Cargill - then Air Products and Chemicals – starting in manufacturing, project engineering, efficiency engineering, capital projects, product management and planning, logistics and supply chain, account management, asset management, and business manager. Luis earned his degree in Chemical Engineering - with a Minor in Business Administration. JEFF THOMPSON, INFINEUM USA LP ILSAC GF-6: What Does It Really Mean and Do You Need It? Jeff Thompson is the Regional Market Manager for HDD and PCMO additives in North America for Infineum USA LP, a role that works on market understanding, product portfolio management and customer and sales support. He has 18 years of experience at Infineum in roles ranging from manufacturing, technology and sales & marketing. Both in Infineum’s lubricants and fuel additives business. His latest roles in technology have been for leading the US formulation group for developments against the newest crankcase specifica- tions, namely PC-11, SN+ and dexos1gen2 and GF-6. Jeff has a Chemical Engineering background from Cornell with a MBA from NYU.

OWEN CAINE, HOUSEHOLD & COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS ASSOCIATION Ingredient Transparency: New York and California Cleaning Product Disclosure Tuesday, 10:15am - 11:15am Owen Caine serves as the Executive Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy. His respon- sibilities primarily focus on managing a team of state and federal lobbyists to help defend and further the industry’s interests on Capitol Hill and in state houses across the country. Owen joined HCPA in June of 2017 coming from the Toy Association where he served as the Director of State Government Affairs. Prior to the Toy Association Owen worked in the State Affairs department at HCPA.

Over the course of his career Owen has spent time as a staffer on Capitol Hill, worked for a Boston based government affairs law firm, and has worked on a variety of political campaigns throughout the country. His career working in and around politics has given him a firm understanding of the political process and helps him to think strategically about legislative and regulatory issues. Owen has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and a Master’s in Public Policy from George Washington University in Washington DC.

JEFFREY L. LEITER, ESQ., BASSMAN, MITCHELL, ALFANO & LEITER, CHTD Regs & Legs Session-2020: Political Tribalism and the Enthusiasm Gap Tuesday, 11:15am - 12:15pm Jeffrey L. Leiter is a shareholder in the Washington, DC law firm of Bassman, Mitchell, Alfano & Leiter, Chtd. A significant portion of his practice involves the representation of trade associations and non-profits, includ- ing PPC. Leiter is also widely recognized as a leading attorney nationwide on matters involving lubricant manufacturers and petroleum marketers. He is a frequent author and speaker on environmental, health and safety topics. Leiter is a graduate of the George Washington University and the Catholic University’s Colum- bus School of Law. KEYNOTE: Former Star Quarterback Joe Theismann

Joe Theismann is an entrepreneur and the former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins. Most recently, he spent the last two decades working for ESPN and the NFL Network as an NFL analyst.

Joe graduated in 1971 from the University of Notre Dame, where he received All-American honors in both Football and Academics. That same year, he was runner up to Jim Plunket for the Heismann Trophy balloting. Joe chose to begin his career with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League after being drafted by the Miami Dolphins and Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins.

A 12-year NFL veteran, Joe played in 163 consecutive games from 1974-1985 for the Washington Redskins and holds Redskin records for passing yardage (25,206), completions (2,044) and attempts (3,602). He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and Pro Bowl MVP leading the Washington Redskins to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII.

Joe was selected as the NFL’s Man of the Year in 1982 for his community service and dedication to the health and welfare of chil- dren. In 1983, he won the league’s Most Valuable Player Award, leading the Redskins to a second consecutive Super Bowl appear- ance. Joe Theismann’s career ended abruptly in 1985 after sustaining a badly broken leg during a Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants on national television. In 2003, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and in 2013 received the Walter Camp Football Foundation “Distinguished American” Award.

With every chapter of his life, Mr. Theismann evolved from athlete to the ultimate businessman. An Emmy award winning analyst, businessman and athlete, he utilizes his gifts, talent and high energy to share his strategies for handling unforeseen change.

The PPC College is a series of three condensed 3-hour technical certificate programs which are held on Tuesday at selected PPC Meetings. Packaging 103 will be held at this meeting. Golf Tournament - Sunday, August 25th The Mountain Dell Lake Golf Course situated 16 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City and at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level. It is considered by many to be the most beautiful public golf course in Salt Lake City. Mountain Dell is nestled in Parley’s Canyon and offers 36 holes of breathtaking views and frequent glimpses of wildlife. The higher elevation provides ideal summer golfing conditions. The Lake Course, which we will playing on, features narrow, rolling fairways and dramatic tee shots over deep ravines and water. Designed by William Bell Jr. and opened in 1962, measures 6.787 yards from the black tees. Par is 72 for men and 73 for women.

The course is 16 miles from the hotel. We will carpool or Lyft/Uber. 8:00am Team 1 tee off Staggered Start at 8:00am (this isNOT a shotgun start) Meet in the valet area at 7:00am and 7:15am, first teams will leave at 7:00am Cost: $120 per golfer. Rental clubs are $35 per set (pay at course), Lunch will be provided. No metal cleats. Blue jeans and denim pants are allowed. No attire displaying profanity or suggestive pictures.

Golf Tournament Hole Sponsorships Are Available Golf tournament hole sponsorships are available for $175 each. A sign will be posted on the hole with your logo. Limit of 18 per tournament. You do not have to play to sponsor a hole!

Olympic Park Adventure - Sunday, August 25th If you attended our Fall Meeting 2011 in Park City, you may have attended the amaz- ing Olympic Park event. Everyone came back elated and thrilled to have this fun day and step out of their comfort zone! This is a once in a lifetime experience. We will shuttle to Olympic Park, the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics (30 minutes from the hotel). The park, even in the summer, has teams from around the world training, like ski jumping in water instead of snow. There is an Olympic Museum onsite to check out photos and paraphernalia from the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Your Gold Pass will include Extreme Tubing, Extreme Ziplining, Freestyle Ziplining, Zip Line Tour, Drop Tower, Summit Course, Canyon Course, Discovery Course and Scenic Nordic Chairlift Ride. Some of these courses are very challenging.

Cost: $122 per person includes a Gold Pass and transportation. Closed toe shoes are required for all activities. Loose clothing and shorts are appropriate. Hats are not recommended. Golfers who wish to attend will be placed on early teams in order to participate. Please note: Weight, height and age restrictions apply. Shuttle leaves at 1:30pm, returns by 5:30pm

Spouse Event - “Culinary Experience” - Monday, August 26th Join us for a great afternoon! We are visiting the Salt Lake Institute of Culinary Education (SLICE) for a “Culinary Experience”. Using your creativity and newfound culinary skills you will make a delicious meal and enjoy it with your group. Chef instructors will be devoted to our group to assist in the cooking of our meal. A fun afternoon of food, wine, cooking lessons and fun with friends, old and new! Meet in the lobby at 11:30am and finish around 3:30pm. Please note: Spouses/Guests have priority over members. 5K Fun/Run/Walk - Tuesday, August 27th Whether you are a runner, jogger or just enjoy a brisk stroll and don’t mind getting up really early, then this is the event for you! What To Attend All sessions are open to PPC members. Sessions are included in your registration fee. The Golf Tournament, PPC College, tours, activities, and 5K are available at a special fee. Spouses/Guests may attend the sessions, President’s Message/General Member- ship Meeting, Keynote Address and Receptions at no charge. Spouses/Guests can also attend all other optional events for the cost stated on the registration form. Spouses/Guests wishing to attend the Tuesday Banquet can register on the Member registration form. The Board of Directors requests that children do not attend PPC functions.

Bringing a Spouse/Guest? A spouse or significant other’s primary purpose in attending the Fall Meeting is to accompany the registrant. A co-worker or asso- ciate within the petroleum packaging industry does not qualify for a spouse/guest registration and should complete an individual registration. Airport/Transportation The Hilton Salt Lake City Center is seven miles from Salt Lake International Airport (SLC). There are dozens of direct flights from various cities in the country at reasonable rates.

There is no hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Uber and Lyft are readily available. Their Apps are available on the PPC App home page. Taxis and the TRAX light rail system are other options. Hotel self-parking is $18.00 (Garage Parking), Valet: $24.00. There is an on-site Avis Car Rental desk.

Restaurants The hotel has a great restaurant on-site (Spencer’s Steaks & Chops). There are dozens of restaurants within a few blocks of the ho- tel. Weather Salt Lake City in August is warm and beautiful. Daytime temperatures are high 80’s and the night time average is 62 degrees. No rain is expected. Some receptions will be held in the hotel’s indoor/outdoor patio.

What Does Salt Lake City Have To Offer? City Creek Mall, located two blocks from the hotel, is a world-class fashion and dining destination, offering over 100 stores and res- taurants including Nordstrom, Macy’s, Apple Store, Michael Kors, Coach, and restaurants ranging from upscale dining to fast food and ice cream stores, in a casual, pedestrian-friendly environment. They also offer free fitness events.

While visiting Salt Lake City, be sure to enjoy all the local attractions the city has to offer, many located on the Salt Lake light rail system. Check out the exhibits or an IMAX show at the Clark Planetarium. Visit the Utah Museum of Natural History or get in touch with your wild side at Utah’s Hogle Zoo where you will find over 1,000 animals from around the world.

Marvel at the world-famous Tabernacle Choir at the historic Temple Square and enjoy a part of Salt Lake City’s impressive history. Salt Lake City is the “Genealogy Capitol of the World”. Visit the Library Archives and discover your family history. Stick around to spend more time in the city. Salt Lake City has a lot to offer!

Salt Lake City Liquor Laws The liquor laws, although still somewhat quirky, are pretty close to the rest of the country. There are no longer private clubs (bars you have to have a membership to enter), and they have many brewpubs, microbreweries, bars and restaurants. Meeting Signage: OEC Graphics/ For the last several OEC Graphics/AMPHORA has rebranded the PPC’s signage and will be providing the signs at our Spring Meeting.

Past sponsors have first option to renew their sponsorship from the previous meeting. If the sponsor does not renew, the sponsorship will be open to the membership.
