MEDIA KIT 2018 - 19 Official Magazine of Airports Authority of India ABOUT AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA The Airports Authority of India (AAI) came into existence on April 1, 1995. Constituted as a Statutory Authority under the Airports Authority of India Act, 1994, AAI has been created by merging the erstwhile International Airports Authority of India and National Airports Authority. Under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, AAI is responsible for integrated development, expansion and modernisation of the air traffic services, passenger terminals, operational areas and cargo facilities at airports in India. The total aircraft movement and passenger have increased by 14.1% and 18.3% respectively during the year.
