FREE WALKING DEAD: PART 1: ALL OUT WAR PDF Charlie Adlard,Cliff Rathburn,Stefano Gaudiano,Robert Kirkman | 136 pages | 11 Mar 2014 | Image Comics | 9781607068822 | English | Fullerton, United States 'The Walking Dead' Season 7 finale brings 'All Out War' but only one major death It took around 40 minutes for The Walking Dead's finale to actually get somewhere, but once Negan and his posse showed up at the gates of Alexandria, the episode transformed from an exercise in navel-gazing into a vaguely compelling installment. Further proof that these "extended" episodes benefit no one — as nice as it must be for indecisive showrunners and directors Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War get a little extra wiggle room, there's something to be said for keeping things lean and disciplined and getting right to the action. Speaking of the action: Apparently the fan theories about Sasha's death were correct — she popped Eugene's suicide pill on the way to Alexandria, and burst out of Negan's painfully on-the-nose casket as a walker. I wonder how many people were surprised by that twist when speculation was running rampant online in the weeks leading up to the finale. It's admirable that Sasha attempted to complete her mission to kill Negan the only Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War she knew how, with the one weapon made available to her, but sadly it still wasn't enough to overpower the bat-loving villain — who's likely to be with us at least through the first half of Season 8, if not longer. The finale did bring back a familiar face in the form of Michael Cudlitz's Abraham — giving us a small chance at closure after his death in the premiere, which was undeniably overshadowed by the shock of Glenn's murder immediately after his. The ginger giant returned through Sasha's memories, which took us back to the morning of the day Abraham and Glenn died, when we learned that Sasha tried her damnedest to convince him to skip out on helping get Maggie to Hilltop — a choice that might've kept him alive at least a little longer. The finale also paid fitting tribute to Glenn through Maggie's touching monologue at the end of the episode, in which she credited her husband with setting the heroic example that the rest of them have followed ever since. Not as strangers, as family. Because Glenn chose to be there for you that day a long time ago, Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War was the decision that changed everything. It started with both of you and it just grew to all of us. To sacrifice for each other. To suffer and stand. To grieve. To give. To love. To live. To fight for each other. Glenn made the decision, Rick, I was just following his lead. But despite Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War focus on the past, at the end of the finale, Sasha was thankfully the only fatality and at least we can get our fix of Sonequa Martin-Green on Star Trek: Discoverythanks to the well-timed arrival of The Kingdom and Hilltop's forces, who saved the Alexandrians from certain death after the Scavengers double-crossed Rick and chose to side with Negan. Highlight of the episode? Watching Shiva pounce on hapless Saviors as Negan lost his shit about it. Now our forces are united against the Saviors and ready for "All Out War," the issue arc in Robert Kirkman's comics that sees Rick and his group attempting to take down Negan once and for all. And thanks to the Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War that Dwight left via a carved soldier, fittingly confirming that he didn't know about the double-cross, now the Alexandrians and their allies have an inside man to use against Negan in Season 8. Here's hoping the show can maintain that hopeful tone and restrain itself from wandering too far into the bog of angst and torture that slowed down much of Season 7. Everything we know about what's next for 'The Walking Dead' and 'Fear the Walking Dead' Spoilers ahead for The Walking Dead Season Alpha is officially finished having any semblance of a pact between the Whisperers and the other communities. But the impetus for the war in the AMC series is different from the comics. While fans of Robert Kirkman's comics may already know the outcome of the war, the TV series is putting its own spin on it, so fans should prepare for some switch-ups. Showrunner Angela Kang insinuated to Entertainment Weekly that the war will be over ahead of the Season 10 finale, saying "there is some stuff that could feel Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War a finale, smack in the middle of the run of the back half. In the comics, Ezekiel was one of the victims of the Whisperer massacre at the Kingdom Fair. He's still kicking on the TV show, but "Morning Star" did seem like a swan song for him. He revealed he has cancer, slept with Carol one last time, and made amends with Daryl, so it sure feels like Ezekiel will meet his Whisperer fate during the battle. The show has already diverged from the comics regarding how the Whisperer War starts. Beta attacks Hilltop because Negan beheaded Alpha after earning her trust. Knowing Negan's personality, it seems likely that he'll engage in a similar betrayal on the show. But since the TV series doesn't like to follow the comic book to a T, perhaps Negan won't best Alpha as he does in the comics and Alpha will end up killing him. But that doesn't mean Alpha won't die by someone else's hands before the war is over. Earlier in Season 10, an Alpha-Carol face-off seemed like a done deal. Yet, this theory isn't holding up as well after Carol fell for Alpha's trap with the cave. Carol is a bit defeated now and should hopefully have learned that vengeance won't get her anywhere. But it's possible she'll still get a chance to avenge Henry's death. Alpha had asked her daughter to kill her after her fight with Daryl, but Lydia refused. Yet, in a battle scenario, Lydia may have no choice Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War to kill her mom. Lydia could be motivated to commit matricide if Alpha hurt or killed Daryl or Carol. While Lydia and Carol aren't on the best of terms, they had a bit of a heart-to-heart during "Morning Star," and Lydia could want to make up for Henry's death if Carol's not around to do so. This would be a huge departure from the comics, but Eugene seems a bit too happy with his love connection with Stephanie over the radio. Through his communications with Stephanie, Eugene will eventually connect the communities to a new group of people from the Commonwealth. But on the show, maybe Eugene won't make it to his date with Stephanie in West Virginia. In that case, it would be up to Rosita, who is the Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War other person who knows about Stephanie, to facilitate the introduction. Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War maybe Maggie could step in since Lauren Cohan may cameo in Season 10 before returning for good in Season If Beta isn't killed in battle by someone like Daryl, then an injured Beta could retreat into the Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War like he does in the comics where Aaron eventually offs him. But the TV twist could be that Connie and Magna find Beta in the woods after making their way out of the cave alive and they get the opportunity to kill Alpha's second-in-command. Michonne disguises herself as a Whisperer during the war in the comics. But it's not certain that Danai Gurira will even make it to the Whisperer War. While her status is currently unknown, Michonne went with Virgil to the naval base Bloodsworth to obtain weapons. As Season 10 is Gurira's last season on The Walking Deada fitting final act would be destroying Alpha's walker herd. However, Entertainment Weekly reported that Walking Dead: Part 1: All Out War final Walking Dead episode has her facing off with walkers in a research facility and infirmary, so maybe Michonne won't make it off Bloodsworth. Or, a more optimistic take is her final moment will occur after the Whisperer War. But whether it's Michonne, Virgil, or a member of Oceanside, someone better bring those weapons to help the Alexandria and Hilltop communities defeat the Whisperers and their horde for good.
