Pray for Fathers O’Brien, Roux, Farge, Saunders,

What a beautiful occasion it was last weekend to celebrate Klores, Bozant & Melcher the sacrament of Confirmation with four of our young people. O Jesus, Eternal Priest, keep Again, I want to thank Archbishop Aymond for delegating me Thy priests within the shelter of to confer the sacrament and all those who had a role to play in Thy Sacred Heart, where none the formation of these newly confirmed. A great thanks also to may touch them. those who helped decorate the church for Pentecost and Keep unstained their anointed coordination of the reception! Please continue to keep Claire, hands, which daily touch Thy Julia, Nic and Michael in your prayers! Sacred Body.

Keep unsullied their lips, daily purpled with Thy Precious Blood.

Keep pure and unworldly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.

Let Thy Holy Love surround them from the world's contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation here and their everlasting crown hereafter.

It was with a heavy heart that I heard the news that Fr. Don Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us: obtain for us numerous and Saunders, SJ, received a new assignment, one which will take holy priests. † Amen him away from New Orleans. Fr. Saunders has been a very “The priesthood is the love of the faithful spiritual father to our Sunday 8am Mass crowd here at heart of Jesus” St. Patrick’s. For 15 years he has given his free time to celebrate the Mass and enlighten our parishioners with his insightful homilies. Many of our 9:15am Mass parishioner know his patient counsel in the confessional. Fr. Saunders will have two more Masses with us before his departure: June 7th and June 28th. While the health crisis prevents us from having a reception in his honor, please consider writing him a note of gratitude as he follows the mission God has for him at the Jesuit retreat house in Grand Coteau. ~ Fr. O’Brien

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.
