  • Wxw Holds Keynote on Wxw NOW Streaming
wXw holds keynote on wXw NOW streaming service, announces details on Germany's first wrestling network wXw just announced the first in-depth details on our new "wXw NOW" streaming network, which will launch one month from now on 8/13 at www.wxwnow.de. It will not just be a collection of shows like a lot of companies offer for a monthly fee via Pivotshare but also offer original content and a lot of archived shows, some dating back as far as 2006. We will also have our uniquely designed interface/UI, while hosting and infrastructure will be managed by Vimeo, our long-time streaming partner, dating back to 2013. Wrestling journalist Markus Gronemann (DarkMat.eu, Wrestling Observer) considers this to be the biggest launch of an over-the-top pro wrestling channel by a single promotion since New Japan World. wXw Managing Director Christian Jakobi held a keynote presentation tonight at 8 pm CEST at the wXw Wrestling Academy training school, which was streamed live on Facebook (the video is available, albeit only in German, here) and talked about what future and past events and what kind of original content would be available. We had up to 750 viewers simultaneously on Facebook and also had some students and a trainer (Toby Blunt) in attendance to provide some crowd noise and cheering at key points during the announcement. Marquee Events are wXw's version of pay-per-view caliber shows, where feuds start and end and international talent often appears. There currently are 10 marquee events on the calendar, with some of them being multi-day shows:

It has been accepted for inclusion in Creative Writing Minor Portfolios by an authorized administrator of DigitalCommons@Cedarville. For more information, please contact [email protected]. ABSTRACT This portfolio contains poetry, nonfiction, and one short fiction story. Two nonfiction pieces appearing here, “Welcome to the Armory” and “Survey: Headphones” have also been published in the online journal Prick of the Spindle. All pieces were written between August of 2012 and May 2013. I consider this collection the best of my college writing. I pay extra attention to sounds in my pieces. I also try to achieve a certain level of ostranenie—a poetry term that means “making the familiar strange”—because I am fascinated with the attempt. This Level of Living refers to a state of high awareness, of thoughtful observation and meditation required of the person who does not want to live passively but “deliberately.” Here my subjects are small things, like buttons or mushrooms or cells’ cytoskeletons, which are on different levels of living than I. My other subjects revolve around disconnected relationships—not just the personal, but detours and distance, hypnagogic hallucinations, and other strange events or things that detach us from our usual lives.

  • Is Chikara Dead?
chikaralives.wordpress.com Is Chikara Dead? And If So Who Killed It? 1 chikaralives.wordpress.com Author’s note: this document is heavily, heavily indebted to the work of numerous Chikara fans across the web who are trying to piece together the truth about the company’s fate. Robert Newsom of the Atomic Elbow and Mandible Claw’s Danielle Matheson were the ones who first brought the conspiracy into the light in their Crazypants Chikara podcast. Since then the likes of Ole Wrestling, the Chikara Forum and the Chikara thread on the 420Chan wrestling forum have been invaluable sources of information. I am not trying to take the credit for all of the info you’ll find on the following pages. Rather I’m trying to compile all the facts and theories into one handy guide to make it as easy as possible for people to catch up on what’s going on and see what others are saying. I’d hazard a guess that at most 15% of this is my own thoughts and unearthed data so again: all credit and thanks goes to my fellow truth seekers. Please go to the links section at the end and check out their blogs, forums, podcasts etc. This guide is also a celebration of the incredibly, insanely detailed story Chikara’s currently telling. It’s truly a work of art, something that has never been seen before in the world of wrestling and will probably never be seen again. I encourage everyone to get involved in this unique game Quackenbush and co.

  • Here When It’S Put Online Is More up to Date Than If We Were Like Other Mags That Unavoidably Have to Go to the Printers a Couple of Weeks Before Getting in the Shops
Page 2 Welcome to the first ever edition of Piledriver Online. Some of you will already be familiar with this publication as it has previously been available at shows and on subscription but now it has a new home on the internet in full colour and I sincerely hope you all enjoy this debut edition. So what’s different about Piledriver Online? Well, using this format one main difference is that the information here when it’s put online is more up to date than if we were like other mags that unavoidably have to go to the printers a couple of weeks before getting in the shops. We also have more pages and give plenty of coverage to UK wrestling, have more news coverage, more interviews and a look back at the history of professional wrestling home and abroad. Oh and of course it’s free to read! We will soon be launching Piledriver Plus and that will give you more news, competitions and features that will not appear in the main magazine all for just ten pounds a year (current subscribers need not apply). More about that at www.pildedriver-online.co.uk soon, oh and don’t forget to join our forums and if you’re interested in advertising with us at incredibly cheap rates and in full colour just go to our website for more details. We’re just weeks away from Wrestlemania now and the card is gradually taking shape, in fact the two main title matches were confirmed even before ‘No Way Out’ took place on February 18th which isn’t always the case as that PPV usually has a match to determine who gets a title shot at Wrestlemania and it’s not that long ago since the WWE title even changed hands at that PPV when Eddie Guerrero beat Brock Lesnar.

  • Year Ago, Inspired by the Dr. Keith Presents Annuals of 2011 and 2012, We Published
year ago, inspired by the Dr. Keith Presents Annuals of 2011 and 2012, we published the Ainaugural Cubed Circle Yearbook, attempting to encapsulate what was a pivotal year for professional wrestling in 2014. This year we hope to do the same, albeit for a year of a decidedly different sort. 2015 was dissimilar to 2014 in many respects. It didn't see moments as grandiose as the end of the Undertaker's Streak, Daniel Bryan's WrestleMania victory, or the Guerrero-Atlantis mask match. When evaluated from afar 2015 may even appear stagnant in comparison, as did many of the world's largest and most influential promotions during the year – WWE, NJPW, and CMLL in particular. But, upon closer inspection, the seemingly motionless landscape of 2015 wasn't only very much alive, but both morose and vibrant, disheartening and emboldening. The open wrestling fan of 2015 had more choice and freedom than perhaps ever before, with some ardent observers of the industry even abandoning Monday Night RAW for lack of faith in the lumbering weekly juggernaut. Some turned to Lucha Underground, a show that garnered considerable cult popularity. Others looked to alternative facets of the company such as NXT, which grew beyond what many considered its zenith at the end of 2014, harbouring one of the better years for American women's wrestling in decades. AAA showed promise and ambition on several fronts, but was subject to unfortunate, and at times tragic, circumstances. NJPW was as repetitive creatively as it had been under the Kidani administration, but produced one of the best nights of wrestling of the last several years in WrestleKingdom 9 – made more readily available to an American audience than ever before.

  • Cubed Circle Newsletter #6
For a full color pdf click here The Cubed Circle Newsletter We have a gigantic issue this week, an issue over ten pages long, that includes reviews of WWE Vengeance, ROH on SBG and the ratings and lists for this month. There is no Bits and Pieces segment this week, but there will be one next week, more information in the preview section. As always you can find a full PDF above and if you haven’t downloaded it already, I urge you to do so. Cubed Circle Wrestling Newsletter Rating System *- Horrendous match, bad booking, bad pacing, botches left and right, poor work rate and bad crowd reactions can all lead to this. **- Below average match, forgettable, couldn’t have added much for the show unless there was a great angle, before after or during the match. ***- Good match, there were some really good points in the match, had fun watching it, it had some points missing, the crowd possibly wasn’t into it or it didn’t go long enough. But, the match was still good. ****- Great match, well worked, the crowd were most likely into it, this match was a highlight of the show. The match would most likely be in the top 50 matches of the year. *****- Almost guaranteed match of the year, ticked all the boxes well worked, well booked, great crowd, had some amazing spots, very few botches or no botches that really affected the match and the match could influence the business in a major way. This is a prestigious rating and it is the highest acclaim I could possibly give for a match, this rating is only given out with extreme thought and consideration.
