TCS Innovation Labs, Chennai, India (Sep 2012 - May 2015) Position: Researcher and data analyst Research Focus: Building Energy Management, Model-driven analysis, Data-driven analysis • Developed algorithms for optimizing energy consumption of a building based on critical build- ing parameters • Redesigned and managed the Java code base for performing the analytics, which included integration with public libraries for building energy simulation and optimization algorithms • Data-driven analysis of large-scale real world energy data using Python • Model-driven analysis of retail energy consumption, energy disaggregation and benchmarking using EnergyPlus, a software suite for complete building specification and energy simulation. • Simulation-based analysis of the effects of centralized HVAC control and occupancy on the energy consumption of building.

Laya (rhythm) identification in songs Oct 2011 - Dec 2011 • Project in the Pattern Recognition course under Prof. Hema Murthy, Dept of CS & E, IITM • Worked on Hidden Markov Models for analyzing simple songs for the problem of identifying the tala, or the periodicity in the percussion rhythm. Produced my own dataset by playing my mrdangam, a percussion instrument.
