The location of study area lies in Sonai, Puriala District, Konawe Regency and Iwoikondo, Tirawuta District, Kolaka Regency. The inventory of secondary data in the Konawe and Kolaka Regency, South-East Sulawesi, are collected some commodities: a). The point number of collected commodities potency are 66 location points, consist of metallic mineral (24 points), non metallic mineral (39 points) and coal (3 points). b). The point number of commodities potencies in Kolaka are 26 locations involve 5 points for metallic mineral, 21 points for non metallic mineral. Mapping result and review of geological condition, soil geochemistry, mineralization, test pit in Sonai as follows: The geological study area consists of hasburgite as the oldest deposit and cover by youngest deposit (alluvium). The geological structure is joint and fault trending northeast to southwest. The type of alteration is serpentinization. The statistical of soil geochemistry for Ni indicate the maximum value 44520 ppm = 4.4520 %. Minimum 1812 ppm = 0.1812 %. The average value is 7046 ppm ( 0.7046 %) for Ni anomaly > 6317 ppm = 0.6317%. Garnierite mineralization are in brecciaed rocks that undergone serpentinization. In KDSU-1 test pit, the Fe grade is 200,000 ppm = 20%, nickel 3996 ppm = 0.3996%. At depth of 2 – 3 m, test pit of DKSU –2 show the high Ni content; 14910 = 1.4 910 %, and Fe 135000 ppm = 13.5%. At depth of 1.2 – 2.2 m, as saphrolite, where the garnierite vein is still seen with the thickness 1 – 3 mm. Garnierite of this area is derived from residue concentration of left material (upper zone) and as a crack concentration carrying as colloidal particles (middle zone). According to Ni, Co, Cr, Mg, Fe anomaly, and chemical data of garnierite mineralization, in the study area, et least there is 3 prospect areas: prospect zone (P1), (P2) and (P3). It is approximated the garnierite mineralzation distribution is southeast - southwest. The result of mapping and review of geology, soil geochemistry, mineralization, test pit and hand auger, within the Iwokondo study area: Geological condition, alteration and mineralization of Iwokondo generally are similar with Sonai area. The oldest deposit is hasburgite except in some locations were found pyroxenite as lenses of hazburgite and bearing of magnetite. The structure consisting of joint and fault that have a direction northwest – southeast is sinistral fault. In general these fault have the same direction with Lasolo primary fault. The statistical of soil geochemistry for Ni indicate the maximum value 21710 ppm = 2.1710 %. Minimum 665 ppm = 0.0665 %. The average value is 7149 ppm ( 0.7149 %) for Ni anomaly > 11193 ppm = 1.11937%. In KLSU-1 test pit, garnierite found at depth of 4.2-5.2 m. Ni grade = 55110 ppm = 5.551%. The Fe grade = 155,000 ppm = 15.5%. KL / BOR 1 garnierite was found at depth of 6.5 – 7 m. Ni content; 14140 = 1.4140 %, the Fe grade = 163,000 ppm = 16.3%. and KL/BOR 2 with the highest grade of Ni = 9130 ppm = 0.913%. Garnierite mineralization in this area is derived from residue concentration of left material (upper zone) and cracks concentration carrying as colloidal particles (middle zone), and carried residue concentration as colloidal particles (middle zone). According to Ni, Co, Cr, Mg, Fe anomaly, and chemical analysis data of garnierite, et least there is 3 prospect areas: prospect zone (P1), (P2) and (P3) is approximated the garnierite mineralzation distribution is from south - north. The main issues in Konaweeha Watershed is floods that occur caused damage to infrastructure and public facilities, lowering agricultural production, and cause fatalities. One of the government's efforts to cope with the flooding problem in Konaweeha Watershed is planning the construction of multi-purpose dams in the upstream of Konaweeha Watershed that is Pelosika Dam and Ameroso Dam. Necessary to study the flood control performance of the two dams. Analyses were performed with hydrologic-hydraulic modeling using HEC-HMS software (Hydrologic Modelling System) version 4.0 and HEC-RAS (River Analysis System) version 4.1. The design rainfalls that were used as input to the model were 2 year, 5-year, 10-year and 25 year. Scenarios used in this study are: (1) Existing Scenario (2) Pelosika Dam Scenario; (3) Ameroro Dam Scenario; (4) Pelosika and Ameroro Dams Scenario. The results showed the maximum water surface elevation along the downstream of Konaweeha River in Scenario (2) and (4) were almost the same in the 2 and 5 years return period design flood. However, in case of 10 and 25 years return period, the difference of maximum water surface elevation at downstream of Konaweeha River was slightly significant.

The metamorphic complex is one of the rock formations in the Southeast Sulawesi Province. Where the rock complex is divided into 2 (two), namely: Pompangeo Complex and Mekongga Complex, the distribution area of this metamorphic rock is estimated around 50% of the total land area of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This rock complex is very possible to contain mineral deposits, one of which is graphite mineral deposits. However, the problem that is now is the identification of the potential for subsurface distribution of graphite excavated material has not been carried out. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the potential for subsurface distribution of graphite mineral deposits is using geoelectrical resistivity method where is using Wenner-Schlumberger configuration, this research activity was conducted in the Sabilambo Village in Kolaka Regency, where most of the research area is metamorphic complex.

Bugise Migration coming from various areas in South Sulawesi Province region aiming to massapadale or earn living. Their arrival in East Kolaka of course brought rice farming culture as livelihood in their original area that was then developed into cocoa farming until today. This research was conducted in East Kolaka Regency, using ethnographic method to represent Bugisese migration and cocoa farming globalization. Techniques of collecting data used were observation and in-depth interview. The result of research showed that cocoa or chocolate farmers in East Kolaka are one of local strengths in affecting transnational power as global power. Similarly, transnational powers affect local culture or cultural locality is created through the relationship between farmers and cocoa industry in East Kolaka. Conflict between local interest and global interest leads to friction resulting in the rules that should be implemented by local powers against transnational or global power. It is because Bugisese migrants as local power have knowledge, belief, and value, in organizing cocoa production system to pursue maximization in various aspects of social-cultural life. Keywords— Bugisese migration, farming globalization 1 Introduction Cocoa plant is one of plantation plants constituting the mainstay agricultural subsector in Indonesia.

COST ANALYSIS OF THE FUKUOKA METHOD LANDFILL SYSTEM IN NORTH KOLAKA REGENCY, SOUTHEAST SULAWESI, INDONESIA Irwan Ridwan Rahim1, Abdulrahman Jamaluddin1, 1Hasanuddin University, Faculty of Engineering, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan Km.10, Makassar 90001, Indonesia [email protected] (Irwan Ridwan Rahim) Abstract Most waste disposal sites in developing country are still using open dumping and open burning However, in developing countries, there are a lot of economical and technical problems with high level landfill technologies of first world countries making implementation of improvement not feasible. Therefore, there is significant need for transfer of landfill technology that is simpler, low cost, and that can be maintained locally. A method that provides this that has recently gathered attention is the Fukuoka Method (semi-aerobic landfill). By life cycle cost analysis method, with the lifespan of the landfill is 20 years and an estimated volume of 586,789 m3 (469,431tonnes), the capital investment required was about US$296,739 (natural clay liner)and US$463,406 (syntheticliner) or about US$0.63 and US$0.99/tone of waste, the total cost of operation was about US$3,187,728 or US$6,79/tonne of waste. The closure cost of the landfill was estimated to beUS$278,116 or US$0.59/tonne of waste. Keywords: cost, analysis, semi-aerobic, landfill Presenting Author’s biography Irwan Ridwan Rahim completed the doctoral program since 2013 in Urban and Environmental Engineering Department, Kyushu University, Japan research specialization in municipal solid waste management, besides a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, at this time also as a visiting research in Environmental System Analysis and Control Engineering Laboratories, Kyushu University Introduction In many countries with low income open dumps still are in operation.

The reef fish trade chain before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Buton District, Indonesia (case study of the coastal waters of the Spelman Strait) 1Azhari, 2Muis 1 Sembilanbelas November University, Kolaka, 93560, Indonesia; 2 Fisheries Agribusiness Department, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences; Halu Oleo University, Kendari, 93132, Indonesia. Corresponding author: Muis, [email protected] Abstract. Spelman Strait coastal waters are one of coral fish resource producers. Small-scale fishermen use reef fish to fulfill their household economic needs. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the coral fisheries supply chain had run naturally in fulfilling Central Buton Regency's food and its surrounding areas. The Spelman Strait coastal reef fishery has also contributed to both domestic and global markets. During the Covid-19 pandemic, supply chain ended forever. This created problems for small-scale fishermen and local collectors. The aim of this study is how the supply chain of coral fisheries before and during the Covid-19 pandemic is and how involved local government is. The findings were collected before and after the Covid-19 outbreak. Local government action hasn't made a real impact yet. The solution proposed in this report, local governments, would make a great short- and long-term coral fishery management plan. Key Words: coral reef, small-scale fishing, middlemen. Introduction. The waters of the Spelman Strait are rich in coral reef ecosystem resources, characterized by many fishermen who rely on coral reef ecosystems for their lives. Almost all the villages on the coast of the Spelman Strait have fishermen catching reef fish (Muis et al 2019).
