CARATTERIZZAZIONE DEL BACINO 1.1 Inquadramento geografico e definizione del bacino idrografico Il Fiume Scrivia è uno dei più importanti corsi d’acqua genovesi del versante padano; esso nasce dalla confluenza dei torrenti Laccio e Pentemina presso l’abitato di Montoggio. In territorio ligure, la sua asta principale ha una lunghezza di circa 31,8 Km e il suo bacino idrografico copre approssimativamente una superficie di 298 Km2. Il corso d’acqua ha un andamento meandriforme, in alcuni casi incassato in una stretta valle a V, ad esempio a nord di Busalla. In altri casi fluisce in ampie piane alluvionali, come presso Casella. La direzione di scorrimento è circa N-S lungo tutto il tratto ligure, tranne che nella parte iniziale fino a Montoggio. In sponda destra gli affluenti maggiori sono i torrenti Brevenna, Seminella e Vobbia, mentre quelli in sponda sinistra sono il torrente Laitona e il rio Busalletta. -

RESUME Cette note donne pour la première fois une synthèse des conditions hydrogéologiques de la Plaine du Pô (Italie du Nord) : en effet les études entreprises jusqu'à présent ne concernaient que des secteurs très limités. Un programme de recherche, organisé et financé par l'Institut de Recherche sur les Eaux du Conseil National des Recherches et réalisé avec la collaboration des Instituts de Géologie de la région du Pô, a permis d'étudier les aspects hydrogéologiques de vastes unités territoriales de la Plaine. Sur la base d'environ 10 000 coupes stratigraphiques de puits d'eau ainsi que des données hydrauliques et chimiques de 21 000 autres puits il a été possible d'arriver à une evaluation approximative satisfaisante des conditions structurelles des aquifères, qui se trouvent presque exclusivement dans les dépôts continentaux du Quaternaire (dépôts rnorainiques, fluviatiles et fluvio-glaciaires). La Plaine du Pô est en effet un grand bassin subsidant et qui a été caractérisé au Quaternaire par une grande vitesse de dépôt (épaisseur moyenne de.800 m); il est limité au Nord et à l'Ouest par les Alpes, au Sud par les Apennins et à l'Est par la Mer Adriatique. -

ABSTRACT In this research, we present the lower Scrivia River planform changes occurred from 1878 to 2016. Furthermore, we illustrate the channelization-works development and the land-use changes registered close to the riverbed after the 1950s. The Scrivia River is among the most relevant right-bank tributar- ies of the Po River; it is about 90 km long and origins from the Ligurian-Piedmontese Appennines. The study reach is about 16 km long, close to the Po River, and generally shows a single-thread, sinuous and deep-incised channel. Nowadays the lower Scrivia River presents many bank retreat processes that involve surrounding areas, creating serious management issues. The aim of this research is to outline in detail the active-channel morphological evolution over the last 100–150 years, and char- acterize channelization and riverscape changes, with a specific focus on the occupation of the areas of fluvial pertinence. A quantitative multi-temporal analysis supported by field surveys and based on historical maps, aerial photographs and satellite images was performed in a GIS environment through automated and semi-automated procedures. The active channel experienced a well-defined sequence of morphological evolutionary phases.
