Photo by Cody Hays. Letter from the Executive Director Dear Friend, Faith is about transformation. For 56 years, Catholic Volunteer Network (CVN) has been transforming individuals and communities through faith-based service and mission. We offer a range of experiences that empower volunteers and the people they support. You may be moved by the poverty you see in far-away lands or right in your own neighborhood. You may feel called to be a voice for peace and justice in a world plagued by systemic oppression. Perhaps you want to work on concerns such as climate change, illiteracy, food insecurity, or homelessness. CVN can help. CVN has more than 150 member programs – all of whom believe that service, discernment, and community make transformation possible. As a welcoming community rooted in faith and social justice, we understand the relationship between serving others and deepening your understanding of calling, purpose, and meaning. We welcome you to join the more than 250,000 volunteers who have served with our programs over the years, helping nearly 3 million people annually around the world. We can help you pursue questions about who you are becoming – and what you offer a world in need. But your commitment will not end with CVN. Faith-based service is just one step along your way to becoming a more spiritually-grounded leader who will use future roles to change the world for the better. A year of service will catalyze your journey of personal and professional growth. It will help you transform communities, yourself, and others – no matter where you work, live, or worship. I’m glad you have found RESPONSE. Please keep reading. Keep praying. Keep asking. Do whatever helps you answer your call. Let us know if we can help.
