Kindergarten & New Student Registration: Kindergarten & new student registration started Monday. Any student who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2020, is eligible for kindergarten during the 2020-2021 school year. If you need assistance with online enrollment please contact the school your student(s) will attend to set up an appointment. More information will be coming in the next few weeks.
Valentine Classroom Party: The third and final holiday party of the year is tomorrow from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Parents wishing to have their students leave after the party with another adult should notify the teacher, in writing.

Early Release Day: The next Early Release Day of the school year will take place on Wednesday. Students will be dismissed at 1:40 pm.
Pillar Day & Eagle Nest: We ask students to wear their Pillar Color on Wednesday as we celebrate PILLAR DAY at Erickson. Students will also participate in the fifth Eagle Nest of the Year. Students are placed into groups of 8-12 students from different grade levels to build more community & support for student social & emotional needs at Erickson Elementary School.
Spirit Day: Be BOLD and wear BLUE & GOLD next Friday. Help your class win the Spirit Eagle & earn a prize from the PTO. Congrats to Mrs. Bucci’s classroom for earning an ice cream party from the PTO during last month’s Spirit Day.
End of Second Trimester: The second trimester ends on Friday, February 21, 2020. Report Cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 6, 2020.

Character Counts! @ Erickson: During the month of February, Erickson will focus on KINDNESS. Each classroom will create a Kindness Pledge that will replace the school pledge during the month of February. Students will also keep a Kindness Journal during the month. Each Friday, students will reflect on the week by answering four questions: 3 Ways I was Kind This Week, 2 Ways Others Were Kind To Me This Week, 1 Thing I Want To Do Next Week To Be Kind, & The Best Thing That Happened To Me This Week.

BUILD AN EAGLE RSVP DUE: Build your very own Erickson Eagle to take February 18 home as part of our Spirit Week celebration (just like Build-a-Bear). This Build Talent Show Rehearsal an Eagle event will take place on March 11th - stop in anytime between 3:30-4:30 pm 3:30-6:00 pm (building should only take 15-20 minutes). Can’t make it that afternoon? You can still order a kit to assemble at home. RSVPs are due February 19 NEXT WEEK February 19th so we can order supplies. Don’t miss out! Spirit Day: Erickson Students Soar Like Eagles: Be BOLD, Wear Blue & Gold! Build An Eagle Event The PTO is excited to host a Build an Eagle event as part of our Spirit Week celebration! Come and build your very own Erickson Eagle to take home! Similar to Build-a-Bear, you will be provided with all of the supplies to build your stuffed eagle.
WHEN: Wednesday, March 11th 3:30-6:00 pm Gym Come at your leisure “Building” should take about 15-20 minutes
COST: $20 per Eagle Kit Includes: 15” unstuffed eagle, stuffing, wishing star/heart to bring your Eagle to life & birth certificate to mark the day.
This is a pop-in event meaning come anytime between 3:30 - 6:00 pm to build your eagle. Once you’re finished we’ll take a picture and decorate the halls of Erickson with all of our new SOARING EAGLES.
We must order our Eagle Kits in advance so please RSVP by February 19.
