Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon, but there are plenty of attractions to enjoy and make this a full-day park in the meantime.
This one-page guide provides information to help you decide which attractions are right for your family, which ones require advanced planning or FastPass reservations, and what time of day you might want to enjoy each one.
In addition to basic facts like minimum height requirements and FastPass availability, this guide indicates whether the queue and the attraction itself are indoors, outside, or covered. Use this information to determine which rides should be avoided in the afternoon heat and rain. Note that outdoor attractions will close during thunderstorms and may close during rain.
Queue interest prepares you for boredom and help you decide which attractions you want to FastPass or only attempt with a short posted wait time to avoid a boring line.
Wait indicators give you an idea of the line length that these attractions draw.
The attraction types and descriptions provide a basic description of each attraction, how your family might be split up, and just how comfortable those theater seats may (or may not!) be.
This guide does not include character meetings. Check the Times Guide in the park for character locations and meeting availability times. Some characters have elaborate indoor greeting locations (like Mickey and Minnie) while others informally meet outside (like Donald Duck and Chip ‘n Dale).

QUEUE AND ATTRACTION COVERAGE
● indoors - entirely climate-controlled indoors ● outside - entirely outside, recommended to avoid during rain or afternoon heat ● covered - outside but covered so there is protection from rain and direct sun ● in/out or in/covered - combination of coverage
QUEUE INTEREST
● 1 - boring, nothing of note to do or see while in line ● 2 - there are some interactive elements in the queue for entertainment ● 3 - highly interactive queue that is practically an attraction itself!
WAIT
● 1 - Wait times rarely exceed 20 minutes and these are often walk ons in the morning and the last hour. FastPass isn’t needed for these rides that offer it. ● 2 - Mid-day wait times regularly reach 30-50 minutes. Lines remain short during the first and last hour of the day, so ride then or use FastPass mid-day. ● 3 - Wait times regularly reach or exceed one hour. Rope drop these or use FastPass.
TYPE
● Omnimover rides are slow, continuously-moving rides that load from a moving platform. Slow-moving rides and boat rides are individual vehicles that stop to load. ● Most shows run continuously every 10-20 minutes. Timed shows take place at set times of day as indicated in the day’s Times Guide available at the park. Interactive shows allow for audience participation.
