This mind-bending puzzle will have you hooked from the moment you square off, so sharpen your pencil and put your sudoku savvy to the test! Here’s how it works: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle! Answers on Page 15.

BY SAMANTHA GOFF | GRANT TRIBUNE-SENTINEL

A fun hangout in Grant could be just the answer to what to do on a cold snowy day or an escape from the cabin fever. Kids of all ages can enjoy the fun at Keegan’s ArKade. Keegan Sims, a sophomore at Per- kins County Schools this year, and his 14-year-old sister, Emmerald (Emme), opened the arcade in August as Keegan thought an arcade would be the perfect addition to the community. “I noticed the closest place like this was in North Platte. I thought it would be a good place for local kids to come and play some games,” Keegan said. Keegan’s ArKade offers a variety of over 500 game options on several differ- ent gaming consoles, hand-held gaming devices and tabletop board games. From Atari to Nintendo, all the way to the PS4 gaming systems, and even Jenga or Clue, there is a game for every generation. They also have been adding puzzles to their plethora of options. “We have added a Nintendo Switch to the lineup recently, as well as another Xbox One, and several other video games and puzzles since we opened, and are in the process of setting up a virtual reality system, so that will be coming JOHNSON PUBLICATIONS to KA very soon,” said Breanne Sims, Keegan and Emme Sims, children of Sam and Breanne Sims, are the proud new owners and operators of Keegan’s ArKade on Central Av- Keegan and Emme’s mom. enue in Grant. “It’s a place that’s rated E for Every- one!” Emme added. about 25 players can be playing at a time Keegan explained most of the games and a few more if some visitors are play- in the arcade are taken from his person- ing tabletop games or puzzles as well. al collection.
