He didn't share much information on it, but he did seem to insinuate that it would arrive before the end of 2018. Well, 2018 came and went without the release of a solo Future album, but clearly, it was because he wanted to kick off 2019 on a good note. Future is getting ready to release his follow-up to 2017's HNDRXX this Friday with THE WIZRD. The rapper's been pretty mysterious about the details surrounding the project including the features. However, with only a few days until it's release, he dropped off the project's official tracklist. The project consists of 20 songs like the iTunes pre-order indicated. The WIZRD only has three features on it. Future recruits his Super Slimey partner Young Thug, as well as rising Atlanta star Gunna, for "Unicorn Purp." Additionally, Future reunites with Travis Scott for "First Off." The WIZRD also includes the two previously released singles, "Crushed Up" and "Jumpin On A Jet." Ahead of the release of The WIZRD, Future released the Apple Music documentary of the same name. The documentary focused on Future's career and personal life in the past few years, giving fans a rare glimpse into his world. Future New Album ‘EVOL’ (Listen) The project marks Future’s second release since the start of the year. Less than three weeks ago he released his mixtape Purple Reign. The Atlanta rapper just signed a new deal with Apple Music and EVOL marks the first project that he released under the deal. The 11-track project was premiered on Friday on DJ Khaled’s We the Best Radio on Beats 1. The album features singles including “Lil Haiti Baby” which is a track that was recorded in Haiti. The lead single is titled “Fly Sh*t Only” while another hot single is called “Low Life” featuring The Weeknd. According to Future, the album title EVOL means Love spell backwards. The album artwork shows some burnt up rose. Future is looking to repeat the huge success that he saw last year with two chart topping albums and two major mixtapes. His project DS2 debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart while his joint album with Drake What a Time to be Alive also topped the chart. This practice-based research explores an alternative model for an artist’s museum focusing on the impact of the artist on their audience. It takes form as a dissertation, and an exhibition which was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in May 2018 as the first iteration of the museum. This research asks how the mourning for an artist and the aftermath of their death can inform an alternative model for an artist’s museum that inverts the curatorial lens from artist to audience in order to honour the deep impact of the artist on the lives of many. Taking Prince, who died in 2016, as a case study, it analyses curatorial, institutional and public practices relating to the musician and his audience, focusing on the public mourning for Prince and the rapid transformation of Paisley Park, Prince’s home and studio complex, into a new museum. The alternative artist’s museum model proposed is a curatorial response to the discrepancy between how Prince was mourned by the public and how he was officially memorialised by an institution. The research is situated within the frame of institutional critique, new institutionalism, and critical exhibition practices, and also within the context of recent contemporary museum exhibitions that take the musician as their subject.
