Town Centres South London has a wealth of well established town centres, benefiting from an excellent supply of office space and a strong retail focus. Richmond upon Thames Spread across 21 miles of River Thames frontage, Richmond is an internationally renowned town centre with prestigious shopping facilities. Boasting the highest proportion of independent shops in London, many designers such as Danieli, Gioia and Lionel Jacobs have found Richmond the perfect place to set up their second boutique outside Bond Street. Richmond makes splendid use of its positioning on the river front, with many restaurants and bars. It has excellent transport links to the centre of London, good office accommodation and an established business infrastructure. Wimbledon Home to the world famous tennis championships, Wimbledon has excellent shopping facilities incorporated within its two major retail Centres; Centre Court Shopping and Merton Abbey Mills, and has an abundance of bars and restaurants. Fairfield Halls has a 1750 seat concert hall and 763 seat theatre. Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Kingston town centre sits on the bank of the River Thames. With the opening of the Rotunda and the new theatre it offers a vibrant and exciting nightlife. The excellent shopping centre contains many well known stores, including John Lewis, and is the most popular shopping destination outside London.
