RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Board note the applications for occasional licences granted under delegated authority as detailed in the attached Appendix. 2. BACKGROUND In terms of the Scheme of Delegation appended to the Boards Statement of Licensing Policy, the Clerk to the Board is authorised to grant applications for occasional licences under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 where no objections or representations have been received, nor a notice recommending refusal from the Divisional Commander, Tayside Division of Police Scotland or any report from the Licensing Standards Officer recommending refusal where the application relates to hours within Section 6 of the Board’s policy. Attached as an Appendix is a list of applications for extended hours granted under delegated authority during the period 17 October 2014 to 11 December 2014. 3. Pupils within this area are within the catchment area of Monifieth High School (Angus) and Grove Academy or St Saviours High School (Dundee) and may attend any of these schools. 6.2 Pupils in this area currently attend Barnhill PS. While the associated Secondary School is Grove Academy the majority of secondary pupils attend Monifieth High School which is more accessible. In 2001 Barnhill PS had 53 pupils in P7 and 32 transferred to Monifieth High School. 6.3 Population in the catchment area of Monifieth High School is forecast to rise over coming years as a result of a series of new housing developments.

RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Committee: (i) approves the Angus Active Travel Strategy, included in Appendices 1 & 2 of this report; (ii) approves the Angus Active Action Plan 2020-24, included in Appendix 3 of this report; (iii) approved the appointment of Active Travel Champions, as detailed in this report; (iv) notes the pipeline of Active Travel projects being progressed, including external funding received, successful external funding applications and expression of interest for external funding submitted for Active Travel projects; (v) agrees that updates on the progress of the pipeline of Active Travel projects, which are reviewed by under the remit of the Road Safety Member/Officer Working Group, are reported to future committees, including at key milestones where approvals or internal funding commitments may be required. 2.
