The literature titles prescribed for the Namibia Senior Secondary CertiÍicate syllabuses (European Languages) 2013 to 2015 will also be examined in 2016. Attached please find the lists of literature texts for implementation in Grade ll in 2016 and examination in Grade 12 in2017 to 2019. These lists should be read in conjunction with the relevant syllabuses, which

FIRST LANGUAGE AFRIKAANS (Ordinary Level: Syllabus Code 4101 as well as Higher Level: Syllabus Code 8301)

In the case of Afrikaans First Language the same texts are prescribed for Ordinary and Higher Level candidates, because in most schools the two levels are accoÍrmodated within the same class groups. However, teachers should take note that a more extended study of the literature is expected of Higher Level candidates and that the demands placed by the assessment criteria are different.
