Getting Around TRANSPORTATION Driving in Chicago is not recommended – parking is limited and expensive. Taxis are very easy to find, or use the Uber app to have a taxi/car sent to your location.

Getting downtown from the airport: take the el or a taxi. Taxi will cost about $40, or you can take the El from both Midway (look for the Orange line) and O’Hare (Blue Line). Follow the signs that say “Train to City.” Once you get to the train station, there will be machines to buy a fare card. A one-way ride is $2.25. If you plan to use public transit during your stay, you can also buy 1, 3 or 7 day passes at most Walgreens and CVS stores. These passes can also be used on the bus (same fare applies).

Click here for the CTA website which includes a map of the bus and train (‘L’) routes. There are a number of apps that you can download to help navigate the public transit system. A few that I’ve used are Transit Stop (this will tell you when the next bus/train is expected to arrive) and HopStop (this will give you directions using public transit).

THINGS TO DO United Center and Arrow on Ogden The United Center is located at 1901 W. Madison St (straight west of the downtown Loop area). Click here for driving/parking or public transportation directions (or a taxi will run just under $20 from downtown).

Prior to the game, we will be hosting a pep rally at Arrow on Ogden, located at 1659 W. Ogden, which is about two blocks southeast of the United Center. Look for a UK flag flying out front and stop by for food and drinks before heading into the game. The restaurant will be open at 4:00 pm.
