It's time for Marvel fans in North America to rejoice, as one of the studio's biggest blockbusters has finally arrived on Netflix. As of today, Sept. 4, Black Panther is now available for streaming. Half-blockbuster phenomenon, half-cultural movement, Black Panther took the world by storm when it was released in February of this year. With Chadwick Boseman returning to play the titular hero, and Creed director Ryan Coogler taking charge of the project, Black Panther was quickly beloved by audiences and critics around the globe. In addition to its 97 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, Black Panther was a force to be reckoned with at the box office. The film made just over $202 million in its opening weekend, making it the second largest opening for the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the time, just behind only Marvel's The Avengers . A few months later, Avengers: Infinity War topped them both with a $258 million debut. Just 26 days after hitting theaters, Black Panther became the 33rd movie in history to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office. (Since its release, Avengers: Infinity War , Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom , and Incredibles 2 have all joined the exclusive club). When Black Panther 's theatrical run finally came to a close, it earned a grand total of $1.347 billion around the globe, placing it ninth on the all-time list. Black Panther will be one of the final movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to arrive on Netflix, as the deal between Disney and the streaming giant is coming to a close. Ant-Man and the Wasp , which hit theaters in July, will be the last Marvel Studios film on Netflix. In 2019, Disney plans on launching its own exclusive streaming service. It's unclear whether or not all of the MCU movies will be made available on the new service. Are you excited for Black Panther to arrive on Netflix? Will you be watching it tonight?! The family business, which she took over with her boyfriend Andreas (29), is heavily indebted. Emilie consciously retains a certain distance toward her brother, having successfully repressed her emotions toward him for many years. But his direct and unashamedly upfront behaviour gradually starts to undermine her cool fa?ade. The vast and pristine alpine landscape affords the two an unaccustomed degree of freedom. Marvel: 5 Times Black Panther Was An Overrated Avenger (& 5 Times He Was Underrated) Black Panther is one of Marvel's greatest superheroes. He stands above the rest but sometimes he leaves some questions as to whether he is overrated. All Avengers are not made equal. When it comes to Captain America or Iron Man there are little doubts that they are undeserving of being in the elite squad. Others have to earn their place and oftentimes they give off mixed signals as to how ready they are to take on such a high responsibility. Black Panther is one of Marvel's greatest superheroes. In many instances he stands above the rest, but sometimes he leaves some questions as to whether he is overrated. 10 Overrated: Black Panther Vs Man-Ape. That old saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer is true whether you are a superhero or an everyday citizen. When T'Challa entrusts Wakanda to M'Baku, he soon finds out for himself that M'Baku isn't the ally he had envisioned. After being poisoned, he faces M'Baku who now deems himself to be Man-Ape in one-on-one combat and if not for the building crumbling down on both of them resulting in the death of Man-Ape, Black Panther and his allies would have been defeated. 9 Underrated: Black Panther Vs Kraven. Kraven is probably one of the more underrated and overlooked Spider-Man villains. In pure strength and skills, he is a deadly foe who is capable of lifting two tons along with having an animal's sense of smell. He is also an expert in hunting weapons and in stalking his prey. So when he faces off against Black Panther in Black Panther, vol 3 #6-7 the two foes seem evenly matched. After initially defeating Black Panther, Kraven finds himself on the losing end, in a hard-fought rematch. 8 Overrated: Black Panther Vs Erik Killmonger. T'Challa, on a few occasions, has proven that he can be bested in single combat against some of his top nemeses. One of these times comes in a battle with the Wakandan exile Erik Killmonger. In Black Panther Vol. 3 #15, Erik stages a coup where he challenges T'Challa to one-on-one combat. T'Challa soon finds himself outmatched by the stronger Killmonger resulting in his defeat and Killmonger claiming the throne for himself. T'Challa finally reclaimed his throne but only after Monica Rambeau murdered Killmonger. 7 Underrated: Black Panther Vs Klaw. Ulysses Klaue can sometimes be overlooked as a villain especially when compared to other more popular super-powered enemies of Black Panther. Yet, out of all the villains Black Panther has ever faced, Klaw has consistently posed the most threat to the kingdom of Wakanda. In Black Panther (2005) #6 Klaw attempts a coup by kidnapping T'Challa's mother and threatening to bring Wakanda down by quakes created by Radioactive Man but after learning of Klaw's plan, Black Panther jumps into action, bringing a quick end to the coup attempt. 6 Overrated: Ultron Sentinels Vs Black Panther. Few superheroes can stand in Ultron's presence much less stand toe-to-toe with him. In Age of Ultron, the newly created Ultron goes rogue and attempts his takeover of Earth. His creation of Ultron Sentinels that do his every bidding only adds to the dire threat that he poses. After alerting the Fantastic Four of Ultron's plan, Black Panther, Red Hulk, and Taskmaster are found by the Ultron Sentinels resulting in a battle where Black Panther after a blast falls several stories to his death.

The storyline presents as if it's going to be yet another example of how weak and vulnerable a supposedly strong superheroine really is, but the weakness angle resolves into a clever plot point by the end, with the return of another classic Captain Marvel villain though how they are explicitly related is still unclear. The question now becomes what efforts are being made to appeal to fans of color in traditional “nerd” activities, specifically comic books (this can include television shows and movies based on comic book characters), anime, and science fiction. Throughout the decades, there have been various attempts to have a discourse about the lack of diversity in nerd culture, both among its creators and characters from various properties considered beloved to nerds. Only, at the time of this writing, in recent years does there seem to be an increase among fans of color discussing these issues in the world at large, and not just in their own social group(s). This research will discover how minority fans feel about representation, or lack thereof, in the three above fandom. It will examine how minority fans feel about specific instants involving race and ethnicity in fandom from the past year.

The Great Big Marvel Character Index (GBMCI) Compiled by Andrew Goldstein [1] Version 1.0, last revised 01/20/2018 This index notes each character from the Marvel Universe that was described in one or more MARVEL SUPER HEROES game products. The abbreviations used herein follow. The letter D, followed by a number, indicatesthat the character was mentioned in that issue of DRAGON® Magazine (issues #88 to #198). The letter P, followed by a number, indicates the given issue number of POLYHEDRON Newszine in which a character was mentioned (issues #18 to #61). Some products listed did not mention specific heroes or villains, but are included here to show the complete line of MARVEL SUPER HEROES game products. In cases where character entries occupy multiple pages, the page number given denotes the beginning page of the character entry. Note that this index ONLY includes characters published under the TSR "FASERIP" system; it does not include source material for the SAGA or any other subsequent incarnation of the Marvel RPG, or unpublished "vaporware" works in progress that were never commercially released, etc. This index also does not include various issues of the Marvel-Phile and other publications which do not include character information (for example, the various Ultimate Power Book addenda, Q&A, and the character indexes themselves) although some of those articles do include non- character stats (e.g., Marvel Universe technology, or real-world miltary generic stats). The TSR-produced miniatures sets are likewise not listed, because why the heck would you need to look those up? The index will eventually include fan-made material that follows the same system, as relevant to the Marvel canon.

  • List of Superhero Debuts
List of SuperHero debuts The following is a list of the first known appearances of various superhero fictional characters and teams. A superhero (also known as a super hero) is a fictional character "of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest."[1] Since the debut of the prototypal superhero Superman in 1938, stories of superheroes — ranging from brief episodic adventures to continuing years-long sagas — have dominated American comic books and crossed over into other media. A female superhero is sometimes called a superheroine or super heroine. By most definitions, characters need not have actual superhuman powers to be deemed superheroes, although sometimes terms such as costumed crimefighters[2] are used to refer to those without such powers who have many other common traits of superheroes. 1850-1900 Penny Dreadful Character / Team / Year Debuted Creator/s First Appearance Series George A.
