At the same time, we are promoting the development of SpaceJet M90. These 70–90-seater regional jets are more environmentally friendly and comfortable. With the development of SpaceJet M90, we have entered into the final stage of test flights, and we are putting forth the utmost effort to deliver the first SpaceJet M90 by mid-2020. Furthermore, we contribute to safe and secure livelihoods through initiatives including development of defense equipment and launching space vehicles with payloads such as communication and observation satellites.     Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation Statement: Cancellation of Trans States Holdings Contract Nagoya (Japan) – October 31, 2019 – Today, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced the termination of its contract with Trans States Holdings, Inc. (TSH), a privately-owned holding company for three regional airlines. After close discussions, the decision was made to cancel the contract for the Mitsubishi SpaceJet M90 – 50 firm orders with 50 options – as the variant does not meet the requirements of the United States market. Future discussions will be focused on the scope compliant SpaceJet M100 aircraft. “TSH has been a long-time proponent of our aircraft program and we look forward to continuing discussions regarding a potential order for the SpaceJet M100 product,” said Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation President Hisakazu Mizutani. “When we established our contract with TSH, the outlook on the regional market was very different. Scope clause has not relaxed as anticipated. We have since shifted our strategy to be responsive to the market realities in the U.S., in partnership with our airline customers. We are confident that the SpaceJet M100 presents us with a market-leading aircraft for North America.” In June of this year, the company introduced the Mitsubishi SpaceJet M100, the only clean-sheet regional aircraft in its category that also meets U.S. scope clause requirements. The product has received commitments for up to 115 aircraft from North American customers.     1 2 3 Thank you for your introduction. My name is Keisuke Hirose, and I am the Commercial Aviation Systems Segment leader. Today, I would like to explain the business strategy of our segment. Today, I will explain the following four points. Namely, the overview of the business, the management structure, and the progress of the 2018 business plan, as well as our business policies and strategies, in that order. 4 First I would like to provide an overview of our business. In the commercial aviation systems segment, we are engaged in the commercial aircraft Tier 1 business, mainly with OEMs such as Boeing and Bombardier. They contract out the production of structure items such as wings and fuselages to us. Currently, we are helping to produce aircraft in the fields of wide body aircraft, narrow body aircraft and business jets, as shown on the screen . For wide body aircraft, we supply the composite main wing boxes for the Boeing 787, and the aft fuselage and doors for the Boeing 777, and its next generation 777X. For the narrow body aircraft, we supply the inboard flap for the Boeing 737 and further the main wings, the center‐fuselage and the center wing for the Global 5000, 6000 of Bombardier and also the main wings for the Challenger 300 of Bombardier in the field of business jets. As shown by the pie chart in the center, in terms of sales ratio, the orders from Boeing account for the majority of, and in terms of models, is highly dependent on wide body aircraft.

These integrated interiors include galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, passenger service units, sidewalls, ceiling panels and other components that create the customer experience during flight operations. Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation announced its SpaceJet family of aircraft on June 13, 2019. SpaceJet is the commercial name for the product family that includes the SpaceJet M90 (previously known by the developmental designation of MRJ90) and a new member, the SpaceJet M100, a new standard in regional air travel. The Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of aircraft is designed to address demand in the regional jet market by delivering ultimate comfort for passengers and unmatched aircraft performance with more profit potential for airlines. The new SpaceJet M100 will incorporate the ingenious next generation Safran Cabin ECOS overhead pivot bins, providing greater and more efficient baggage management, and improved functionality from a new overhead bin latching concept. "We decided that the best way to accomplish that is with a pivot bin and the team at Safran was able to work with us on the design and create a very spacious solution".
