Synopsis ADL (Core) Homebase Program is catered for FDWs and care recipient’s family members who wish to learn basic caregiver skills and knowledge, to better take care of the frail elderly or disabled person, who require assistance with their activities of daily living (ADLs) in their own homes.

Course Outline ADL Core Home base Curriculum 1. Personal hygiene 2. Bathing / shower 3. Oral Hygiene 4. Skin and nail care 5. Hair washing / shaving 6. Oral feeding 7. Urinary catheter care and management of waste 8. Ambulation & transfer 9. Fall Prevention 10. Medication management

Trainer’s Bio Trainer 1 Ms Elizabeth Chan Yin Meng is a State Registered Nurse and Certified Midwife and ATCA certified, who had worked in the Health Industry more than 45 years. She had worked in SGH, KKH, NUH and Public Health Sector as Health Educator, Case Manager and Nurse Practitioner. Currently is a Senior Nurse Educator at ECON Careskill Training Centre in charge of training new nurses working in ECON Group- Nursing Homes & Medicare Centre, conduct the ITE Skills Certificate in Health care (Homecare) and develop curriculums for healthcare training.

Trainer 2 Mr. Seow Khiam Hong is the Founder and Chief Resource Officer of HealthNetCafe, an online caregiver’s portal for Singaporeans. He is a State Registered Nurse, Instructor & Assessor trained He conducts ITE Skills Certificate in Health care (Homecare) and AIC – Caregiver training courses. He was appointed as an adjunct lecturer with the School of Nursing & Midwifery Flinders University, Australia and taught under its Bachelor of Nursing programme in . Currently is Nurse Educator in ECON Careskill Training Centre for AIC caregiver program and lecturer for the ITE program

Trainer 3 Ms Cheong Saik Moey is a State Registered Nurse had worked in the Health Industry more than 44 years. She had worked in SGH, , , and HMI & Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home as Staff Nurse, SS Nursing Officer and Clinical Instructor, Dementia Day Care (SASCO). Currently she is Nurse Educator in ECON Careskill Training Centre conducting AIC program

Trainer 4 Ms Quek Siew Choo, Rachel is a State Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science Nursing (Curtin University) and ACTA trained. Work in Health Ministry for the past 7 years and had work in Geriatric ward, adjunct lecturer at HMI Institute of Health Science. Currently a Trainer with ECON Careskill Training Centre conducting AIC Caregiver program.

Trainer 5 Ms Poh Jing Jing Liza is a State Registered Nurse and had work in the Health industry for 21 years. She had worked in SGH, Hospital and Health Management International as a clinical instructor, lecturer and Assessor. Currently a Senior Staff Nurse at ECON Healthcare Group where she has been conducting training for nurses
