He was the guest 16, Main Street,Kenmare speaker at Pobal Scoil Inbhearscéine on Thursday 13th of May. He addressed the students during the day and gave a talk to the parents and the public on Thursday evening. Without notes, and with great humour, he enthralled his audience with stories of everyday life we could all relate to. His philosophy is that change, personal or otherwise, cannot be enforced on people, believing that real and meaningful change comes about through consent and agreement. The key is to find the humanity in another human being and then to nurture it. The more a person becomes aware of their own humanity the more likely they are to treat others with respect. Children should be encouraged and given credit for their achievements rather than critisised for their weaknesses and they should never be compared to others. It was wonderful to see his passion for humanity and for the inherent good in most people if sought and encouraged. Well done to the Parents Association for inviting him to speak and his advice was doable and based on common sense.

This may traumatise your dog and they will associate car travel with something unpleasant. Some dogs are more susceptible to motion sickness than others. You’ll know this quite quickly and at least you will know how to proceed. But take heart, it can be cured with a bit of patience and time. Cats, however, are more problematic. You’re not going to be taking them for a walk and they usually hate car travel; my cats do. They cry and may even pee or be sick.
