The University addresses the need for trained and specialized human resource in the domains of engineering, management and humanities. It intends to expand the opportunities for students and professionals to develop an intellectual knowledge base with leadership skills to compete in the global arena. This objective is being served through a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate and post-graduate education programmes and intensive research initiatives. Vision To emerge as a world class Institution of Excellence in Energy Education, Research and Innovation which will prepare and sensitize the youth and ultimately the society for radical yet sustainable societal transformation. Mission Undertake unique obligation for Education in Energy Engineering and Management with special responsibilities in domain specific aspects of Energy & Infrastructure. Seek to nurture students of extraordinary motivation and ability and prepare them for life-long learning and leadership in an increasingly knowledge driven world. Envisage to establish institutes of excellence in education, competitive edge in research and real time relevance with futuristic thrusts in offering of programmes and undertaking of activities and projects. RECOGNITIONS . NAAC accredited with ‘A’ grade & CGPA of 3.39 out of 4 . University Grants Commission u/s 2(f) . AICTE Approval . Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO), Govt. of India . Approval u/s 35(1)(ii) of Income Tax Act, Government of India ORSP for Research Activities . PDPU is designated by DGH-GoI for EOR Screening across India, along with ONGC-IRS, IIT-ISM, IIT- Kharagpur, IIT- Bombay and IIT-Delhi as a member of Enhanced Recovery Committee to review and approve at different satges of EOR process. It has set up State of the art Laboratories in each discipline with support of Industries, Knowledge partners and internationally renowned University partners. The University has also developed cutting edge digital infrastructure with up to date research and educational curriculum to promote and facilitate research and learnings. Students have shown tremendous talent and innovation in the field of education, learning & research and to build the Institute’s reputation and recognition. PDPU also provides international exposure to its students to create values and cultivate their mind towards innovation by collaborating with reputed International Universities. Faculty with their experience and immense subject knowledge in specialized filed plays vital role in upbringing the student’s development. At PDPU, researchers and students collaborate with industry and government to create innovative solutions merging engineering and creativity, theory and practice, and University and society. Experts from Industry and Academia, Members from our Board of Studies provide scientific advice to craft the curriculum in order to meet industrial requirements. University offers liberal scholarships & exposure and facilities to students and faculty compared with the best in Academics to nurture all-round talent.
