CITY NEWS 2 Del Prado Street Improvement Construction Update

The Lantern District’s Del Prado Street Beautification Project is well underway and is expected to be completed in September 2015. This community driven public improvement project will lead the way toward bringing the Town Center Plan to life with new landscaping and trees, medians, architectural lighting, street furniture, historic markers and street signs, more on-street parking and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and crosswalks. This will aid in bringing a desired street café and shopping atmosphere, and inspired to be a great place to shop and dine as private development occurs. As the Project construction wraps up, Del Prado will return to two-way traffic with a newly paved surface and all of the beautification elements installed. When the Project is complete, circulation in the downtown area will be greatly improved as several other access points to Del Prado are open. Please also continue to support our local businesses and visit www.DPLanternDistrict.com to learn more about the Shop Del Prado Program.
