ROSSMOOR NEWS Wednesday, november 30, 2016 Walnut Creek, California volume 50, no. 38 • 50 Cents Rossmoor tree-lighting is Monday in Fireside Start off the holiday season by attending Rossmoor’s an- nual tree-lighting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway. The event will feature musical performances and sing-a- longs led by pianist and baritone Dwight Stone and friends followed by the always popular San Ramon Valley High school singers. Also on the program will be Carol Kessler, soprano, and Tom Stone, euphonium. Carols, sacred and secular, Christ- mas and Hanukkah, will be sung and played. Stone will play his new “Variations on ‘O Tannenbaum.” Stone will solo on euphonium on “Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer” and Kes- sler will sing “O Holy Night.” A Rossmoor resident, Stone has performed numerous concerts in duo and solo appearances in the last decade. He appears frequently with the Contra Costa Performing Arts Society and in solo piano performances.
