Under the electric sky, the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) returns to the Las Vegas desert May 18−20 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hundreds of thousands electro-dance music lovers are expected to descend upon the destination for another unforgettable experience as the world-famous festival celebrates its 22nd year to spread the message that “All Are Welcome Here.” EDC features performances from world-renowned DJs, state-of-the-art lighting and sound stage design, carnival rides, theatrical performances, and large-scale interactive art installations. Each area contained within EDC represents a distinct union of technology and nature, where elements mix to entice the senses and provide unique inspiration. In 2017, the festival attracted more than 400,000 attendees and is expected to do the same this year. The first-ever Camp EDC makes its debut featuring an expansive campground with air-conditioned ShiftPod tents, as well as The Mesa, the hub of entertainment that campers can take part in all weekend long, including daytime pool parties, go-kart racing, guest speaker series and group classes. Exclusive to EDC campers, the Thursday night kickoff party on Mesa will feature surprise DJ sets. The three-day festival will be accompanied by EDC Week, May 16−23, to include a variety of club shows and pool parties headlined by major EDM stars. This year’s lineup is a who’s who of electro-music superstars, including Afrojack, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and Zedd.
