What Media Server/product was being sold at the �me of you star�ng at What Media Server/product was being sold at the �me of you star�ng at Green Hippo? Green Hippo?

[Sean Westgate] The first products we made were the IGS (Interac�ve [Nigel Sadler] The Hippo�zer Lite and Hippo�zer Pro Graphics Servers) version 1 -4. A�er that the Hippo�zer Brand was born. And yes – there was a v1. It didn’t last very long though before version 2 Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? superseded it and became a commercial success. [Nigel Sadler] The Oscars... because it’s the Oscars (obviously!), it has an Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? incredible feeling when you are there because you feel so privileged to be part of it. I don’t normally get star struck – but you can’t help it at the [Sean Westgate] That would have been the Beatles show “Love” in Oscars. premiering in 2006. [Tom Etra] When I started I was suppor�ng V2 Express, Stage and HD. 6 [Suzy Stenning] GrassHopper was my favourite product when I started but Months later we released V3 and the real fun began. we also sold cri�ers and V3 HD’s in the new chassis. Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? [Tom Etra] Eurovision 2007. Having worked at Green Hippo for li�le under a [Suzy Stenning] I went to visit the in Germany because year. We then where I was. had a design mee�ng with him on how he could go further with Hippo�zer. It was then so late and most of the places for food were shut so we spent Ola Melzig was the produc�on manager. He is a great character and when ages wandering round looking for a birthday dinner, eventually a�er many he no�ced I was only 20 on my passport I was the subject of friendly banter a�empts we found a restaurant that was open. for the two weeks I was there. The meal tokens were handed out for the next 2 weeks, which I lost within 10 minutes. Square Gardens. Rachael Cady was appointed media server programmer. Using The V3 �meline Rachael had many 1000’s of tracks to programme on the limited �meline. I spent around a month fault finding a problem. Trying to reproduce Rachael’s problem. Only to find out she wasn’t running components on a ZooKeeper. Internally we did not know this could be done and was a revela�on when we understood what she was doing.

What Media Server/product was being sold at the �me of you star�ng at What Media Server/product was being sold at the �me of you star�ng at Green Hippo? Green Hippo?

[Millicent Rioux] Hippo�zer V2 ––Stage , HD and Express. [Ryan Brown] It was all Hippo�zer V3. We had HDs, GrassHoppers and Cri�ers. The big feature focus was Uber-Pan which enabled us to sync lots of Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? systems into a single canvas – it was ground-breaking at the �me.

[Millicent Rioux] PLASA 2014. We put on a training day in the office for our Favourite event that Green Hippo has worked on? Distributors (23+) at the �me, launching the V4 range at the same �me to make a successful tradeshow. [Ryan Brown] Probably my favourite gig to work on was a German Pop-Idol show that was set in an ac�ve salt mine. Favourite trip or experience with Green Hippo The show was in a huge cavern 500m underground. Just ge�ng to the [Millicent Rioux] Devcon/Hotcon 2013 at Knowle Manor in Somerset. cavern took a 10 minute elevator ride and then a 5km drive through the mine. We had to evacuate to the surface at every lunch break because During our stay there, we had a whole day outdoor ac�vity, it was a explosions further in the mine rendered the air toxic in our room. Where our normally prim and proper non-execu�ve director did a very good job as drill sergeant devising all sorts of manoeuvres to outsmart our opponents.
