We have examined the Balance Sheet of INDIAN OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION, B-29, QUTAB INSTITUTIONAL AREA, NEW DELHI-110016, as at 31st March 2011 and the Income & Expenditure Account for the year ended on that date which are in agreement with the books of account maintained by the said Association. We have obtained all the information and explanations, which to the best of our knowledge and belief were necessary for the purpose of the audit. In our opinion, proper books of account have been kept by the above named Association visited by us so far as appears from our examination of the books. In our opinion and to the best of our information, and according to information given to us, the said accounts give a true and fair view:- 1. In the case of the balance sheet, of the state of affairs of the above named Association as at 31st March 2011. 2. In case of the Income & Expenditures Account, of the surplus for the accounting year ending on 31st March 2011. The prescribed particulars are annexed hereto. We have audited the attached Balance Sheet of Indian Olympic Association as at March 31, 2011 and also the Income & Expenditure Account for the year ended on that date annexed thereto. These financial statements are the responsibility of the management of the Indian Olympic Association. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audit. We conducted our audit in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in India. Those standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatements. An audit includes examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management as well as evaluating the overall financial statement presentation. We believe that our audit provide reasonable basis for our opinion. We report that 1. We have obtained all the information and explanations which to the best of our knowledge and belief were necessary for the purposes of our audit. 2. In our opinion proper books of account as required by law have been kept by the Indian Olympic Association so far as it appears from our examination of those books. 3. The Balance Sheet and Income and Expenditure Account dealt with by this report are in agreement with the books of account. 4. The Balance Sheet and Income and Expenditure Account dealt with by this report are prepared in accordance with the Accounting Standards issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, to the extent applicable. 5. In our opinion and to the best of our information and according to the explanations given to us, the said accounts read with Significant Accounting Policies and Notes to the Account give the information in the manner so required and give a true and fair view in conformity with the accounting principles generally accepted in India: a) in case of Balance Sheet, of the state of affairs of the Indian Olympic Association as at March 31, 2011, and b) in case of the Income and Expenditure Account, of the excess of income over expenditure for the year ended on the date.
