Queen Padmé Tales: the Fifth Sith
Queen Padmé Tales: The Fifth Sith About this screenplay Objective [ An illustrated screenplay crossing Star Wars Ep. I, the Selinaverse (itself crossing Star Trek TNG/DS9, Buffy, Judaism, Israel, Objectivism, etc.) the real world online/offline life in 2010s/2020s, and Spaceballs. This screenplay is not written in the Hollywood blessed format because good hackers (= resourceful and rule bending heroes) who include the talented actors and actresses in this film, can withstand reading a raw and non-CSS- styled XHTML5 file. That - and hackers like me do not have the time to massage a screenplay into Hollywood's whimsical format only to be rejected, rinse and repeat. ] Licence [ Emblem: This text is Copyright by Shlomi Fish , 2021 and is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Unported Licence (CC-by) (or at your option - any later version). ] Dedication [ The Dedication: ] Main Scene Anakin quitting jedi school Criticising Anakin [ Padmé is sitting in her office in the morning using a desktop Linux system. A male cat is lying above the keyboard. ] Padmé: [in an E-mail] Anakin, to be frank, I am tired of you being so occupied with finishing that wretched Jedi school, that you seem oblivious to yourself and everybody else in a truly self-harming way. Were you aware of the attempt to assassinate me? Or the Naboo's crown's takeover attempt? Padmé: They did suggest I give you an ultimatum so here it is: either you give me enough attention or we'll part ways. I may record a heartache song or two ( Tiffany published her share of them so it won't surprise too many ), but I'll survive. -

Star Wars and Philosophy
Star Wars and Philosophy by Kevin S. Decker, Jason T. Eberl, William Irwin The Force Is with You... but You're Not a Jedi Yet Now this may shock you, but there's an arcane, little-known quotation, one rich in meaning, that appears in every Star Wars movie: "I've got a bad feeling about this." In each episode of George Lucas's "space opera," one of the main characters expresses this basic existential anxiety.1 It's an intuitive response to an undefined problem. Yet it has its root in the essentially philosophical thought that our relationship to the world is one of questioning. Questions sometimes emerge from wonder, sometimes from doubt. We stare up at the heavens, much as Luke did on Tatooine, and wonder about the extent of the universe, its origin, and its meaning. In a crisis of faith, much as Luke had when confronted by his parentage on Cloud City, we may doubt many of our firmly-held beliefs and preconceptions. We search our inner selves, as did Leia when Han was being lowered into the carbon- freezing chamber, and wonder about what it means to love or be virtuous. Sharing Han's skeptical worldly point of view, we may doubt that we have any existence as a mind or soul after our bodily processes are nullified by death. We comb through our junkyard, much as Watto constantly does, and wonder whether there are formulas describing the variances of the value character of the products of labor. But philosophy doesn't have a monopoly on wonder or doubt. -

Star Wars: a Critical Analysis 1
Running head: STAR WARS: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS 1 Star Wars: A Critical Analysis Karen McCain Southern New Hampshire University Popular Culture Professor Lovejoy December 15, 2019 STAR WARS: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS 2 Star Wars: A Critical Analysis Star Wars Final Project Notes The original Star Wars trilogy of films by George Lucas known as Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi appeared on movie screens in 1977, 1980, and 1983, respectively(Lucasfilm, 1977)(Lucasfilm, 1980)(Lucasfilm, 1983). It is the traditional story of the heroes’ journey. A young farm boy reluctantly becomes the hero of The Resistance in the struggle against the evil Galactic Empire that is endeavoring to rule the galaxy. It’s a morality play. There are lessons of good versus evil or light versus darkness, believing in one’s self, loyalty, faith, trust, and perseverance. It is also a story of forgiveness and redemption. These films have breakoff stories, a series of prequels and sequels, video games, home decor, countless amounts of apparel and merchandise including the beloved “action figure”. There are animated and live-action television shows inspired by the original Star Wars films. This trilogy has been around long enough and has been popular enough to work its way deeply into popular culture. To understand it’s influence better one can employ the use of four different lenses to study it closer. There is the lens of history, the humanities, natural and applied sciences, and the social sciences. Using these different lenses to look at Star Wars’ effect on culture will help us understand it from different angles and much more deeply. -

SPRING/SUMMER / / 2020 / / ISSUE 2 BENTON BUGLE WRITTEN BY STUDENTS, FOR STUDENTS Letter from the Editors ABIGAIL KITWOOD AND ELOISE HAINSWORTH Welcome to the lockdown edition of The Benton Bugle! We know it has been a tough time for many people as the COVID-19 pandemic has struck and fundamentally altered everyone’s lives. Our school lives have been changed by the pandemic, with many of us working hard at home to ensure we stay on top of the work that we’ve been set. Over the past few weeks, Year 10 and Year 12 students have been returning to school and it has been great to see our school community back and stronger than ever. Although it’s been strange, the staff at school have been incredible in ensuring that we can all be safe and continue our learning, even in these Georgia was a previous student at Benton Park and now attends St. Andrews University circumstances. As the summer holidays begin, we hope that you enjoy yourself and take a well-deserved break from the challenging past few months. Although it may not be the summer that we were all hoping for, it’s important to take a break for yourself, away from Benton to St. Andrews school and homework. Now that lockdown restrictions are easing, we hope that you will be able to see your friends and family in a safe environment. He stocks all manner of goods that a being could use on a hardscrabble planet such as Tatooine. While he handles the bookkeeping, purchasing and the like, the Human employs a Jawa as his mechanic and clerk. What Trallig doesn't know is that Dibs Nkik has his own aspirations as an information broker; he reprograms the droids that his kinfolk bring to sell, giving them instructions to transmit any useful information to him. In this way he intends to learn the secrets of those who do business with him, and then to sell those tidbits to interested (and paying) parties. The Store The building itself is a simple pourstone structure, about a story and a half in height. -
