With help from WCVA's European advisors, Steve Cranston explains: Arts Factory in the Rhondda has secured grants 44 from ESF and ERDF. Arts Factory is a locally owned, not for profit community business. We include people from all

walks of life in team efforts that contribute to the economic, social and environmental regeneration of

our community.

Over the last three years European funding has been absolutely vital in helping us develop our work - we

have upgraded our premises and workshop/studio facilities, built a garden centre, delivered training to

local people facing major problems of exclusion and disadvantage; and employed key staff.

Arts Factory has appreciated the support of WCVA's European team - in particular training seminars,

briefings and help in putting applications together. The paperwork that goes with European funding can

be a nightmare - WCVA have helped us to cut through the bureaucracy and make things happen

in our community.
