Description:

"America is a good place for stories," Laurie Anderson told 's right before she brought Homeland , her self-described "concert poem," to English stages. Homeland contains some of Anderson's most incisive work, -- darkly humorous, starkly emotional, and, at times, movingly tender. Her stories are once again about these of America, the sprawling subject that first brought her acclaim more than 25 years ago with her eight-hour Reagan era phantasmagoria, United States, Parts I - IV.

Homeland is a distilled, up-to-the-minute portrait of our agitated nation, its politics, its economics, its delusions and its dreams. Her tone is less outraged than elegiac, mourning for lives lost, ideals misplaced. The music is dramatically stripped down to a handful of players, centered around Anderson's haunting violin and voice, frequent Bill Frisell band-mate Eyvind Kang's viola and Peter Scherer's keyboards. The are embellished with such touches as the siren-like vocals of Antony Hegarty (of Antony and the Johnsons), thumping keyboards from Keiran Hebden (of Four Tet), and, on the brilliant, wickedly funny "Only An Expert," a gnarly guitar turn from Anderson's husband and co-producer Lou Reed.

Homeland, long awaited in recorded form, has evolved over more than two years of touring as Anderson developed the songs in front of concertgoers around the world, from downtown clubs in Manhattan to an amphitheatre in Athens, Greece. In Artforum, Anderson summarized the songs as "one-third politics, one-third pure music, and one-third strange dreams." The work shaped more by humanity than by technology; Anderson built an intimate rapport with her audience during a show that featured a shifting set-list of new material and relied on words and music far more than visual and theatrical effects. That intimacy is just as palpable in the songs that evolved to make up her new .. The Guardian said Homeland "represents some of the most purely beautiful music she has ever made." In the States, Daily Variety declared, "The music that accompanies the vignettes and songs is some of the loveliest that Anderson has ever written ...Like the narratives it accompanies, the sound's grave but not without wit; measured and dispassionate, but not without heart."

On the road, Homeland drew acclaim and attracted controversy for its political content. But Anderson is not merely criticizing or complaining; on tracks like the stunning 11-minute album centerpiece, "Another Day In America," Anderson is really for our survival, retelling the stories of our present state in the most forthright material of her career. It can be harrowing but it can be hopeful, and it is as riveting as anything Anderson has produced since the groundbreaking Big Science in 1982. As Variety "Homeland reinforces Anderson's place as the best interpreter of our troubled times." concluded, "

Description: Known primarily for his heavy smokers anthem, "Cloud 9," and the frenetic energy of his song "Haterz Everywhere," B.o.B scored a record deal with while he was still in high school. Now, the teen-aged rap phenomenon is ready to bring his genrebending style nationwide with his highly anticipated debut, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray on Rebel Rock/Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records.

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Sometimes it pays to be different. Hailing from Atlanta, , a city known for its outcasts, B.o.B aka Bobby Ray is truly out of the ordinary. At just 21 years old, the rapper - born Bobby Ray Simmons - has become a breath of fresh air in Atlanta's snap and trap-obsessed scene.

B.o.B made the decision very early in his young life to pursue a career in hip-hop. He started at the age of 13 after studying classic albums from DMX and Eminem. With the encouragement of his older brother, B.o.B started feverishly writing down anything and everything. "At the time, Joe Budden was poppin' and my brother told me when Joe was 15 he used to fill up notebooks with rhymes," says B.o.B "That lit off a light bulb for me and I was like damn, I need to do more than that. Then from seventh grade up to tenth grade, I just started filling up notebooks with lyrics. Then it got to the point where I was just writing them in my head."

While still in junior high school, B.o.B formed a group with his cousin Swag, called The Klinic. The two young MCs were able to buy a simple studio set-up that included the beat-making program Fruity Loops. They quickly started crafting their own songs and performing at open mics around Atlanta. Their manager, B Rich, introduced them to a local ATL rapper named Playboy Tre of the Georgia Durt camp, and he taught the young'ns how to use his professional studio.

The Klinic continued to collaborate until their senior year of high school in 2006, when B.o.B's cousin decided to leave home in order to attend college. Faced with a tough decision, B.o.B chose to continue rapping, this time as a solo artist. "I called my manager and was like, 'I think I'm just going to start working at the mall for a little while and get some money so I can really start pursuing music like I want to,'" he remembers. "Him and Playboy Tre came by my house and were like, 'Look man, we can get you a deal within a year, don't give up!'"

In mid-September of '06, just two weeks after going solo, B.o.B performed at Club Crucial, where TJ Chapman, founder of the national DJ conference TJ's DJ's, was in attendance. After hearing the rap rookie perform "Cloud 9," TJ was convinced he was in the presence of a star. "That was the first time I performed 'Cloud 9' and I got a standing ovation," says B.o.B "TJ Chapman was amazed. He linked up with B Rich, who let him hear my music, and TJ wanted to be involved in the team."

With the budding MC's demo in hand, TJ, B.o.B and B Rich flew to Miami to meet platinum producer Jim Jonsin. After one listen, Jonsin offered B.o.B a spot on his label. On October 3, 2006, B.o.B signed to Atlantic Records through Jonsin's Rebel Rock. "I'm really focused on painting a picture of myself as a musician and an artist and not just a rapper," says B.o.B "I feel like I'm not just making rap music; I feel like I'm changing music, period."

ALBUM FACTS Genre: Rock Guest Artist: Tina Turner Producers: Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Tom Dowd Packaging Specs: The vinyl package features one 140g black vinyl disc pressed at Pallas in a Stoughton single-pocke gatefold jacket. Script Logo Baseball Hat Black Description: Eric Clapton adopted a new, tougher, R&B approach on August , employing a stripped-down band featuring keyboard player Greg Phillinganes, bassist Nathan East, and drummer/producer Phil Collins, plus, on several tracks, a horn section. Guest artists appeared on a couple of tracks, including backup vocals by Tina Turner, and performing songs written by old Motown hand Lamont Dozier, among others. The leadoff track "It's in the Way That You Use It," was writted by Clapton and Robbie Robertson for Robertson's score to the film The Color of Money. Elsewhere, Clapton sang and played fiercely on songs like "Tearing Us Apart," "Run," and "Miss You." That album reached gold status in less than six months, Clapton's best commercial showing since 1981's Another Ticket. The title commemorates the birth in August 1986 of Clapton's son Conor. Throughout the recording of We Walk This Road, Randolph and Burnett worked closely together as archivists, discovering songs-decade by decade-from the 20th century American music canon. The songs they uncovered, ranging from blues and rock to field recordings and gospel, serve as the inspiration for the 11 songs on We Walk This Road. Recorded at the Village Recorders and Electro Magnetic Studio, the album includes "If I Had My Way" (featuring Ben Harper), "Salvation" (featuring Leon Russell), and reinterpretations of 's "Walk Don't Walk," 's "Shot Of Love," (featuring Jim Keltner, who played drums on the original version) and 's "I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier Mama" (featuring Doyle Bramhall II).

Of the album, Randolph says "T Bone and I drew a lot from the past while we were making this record, but I think it really is a record for these times. I think the fact that I, as a young guy who likes hip-hop and gospel, am reaching back into this rich history of American roots music will appeal to people who are fifteen, and people who are seventy-five years old. T Bone opened my eyes to great archival music. He's a link between the past and the present."

Most recently, Randolph received a Grammy nomination for "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals" for his collaboration with The Clark Sisters on the track "Higher Ground" from the all-star collaboration album Oh Happy Day.

ALBUM FACTS Genre: Dance Guest Artist: Pharrel Williams ("ADD SUV") Producers: Mr. Ozio, , SebastiAN Description:

A debut album three years in the making, Uffie's first full-length Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans is officially coming to on June 8th via //Elektra. Since her infectious Ed Banger Records debut in 2006, the provocative 22 year old Paris-based electro-pop artist (aka Anna Catherine Hartley) has attracted a legion of growing fans through just a few singles ("Pop The Glock", "Hot Chick"), a memorable appearance on Justice's debut album in 2007, and international performances including , Coachella, and .

Teaming up with her Ed Banger labelmates, longtime producers and electronic visionaries in their own right, Mr. Oizo ,Feadz, and SebastiAn produced a majority of the album material along with additional heavyweights Mirwais (, Taxi Girl). Pharrell Williams also contributes a return-to-form verse on the upcoming single "ADD SUV". An accompanying video for "ADD SUV" that was shot in Los Angeles is on the way.

After creating an underground stir with last year's "Pop The Glock," the American-born, Paris-based electro rapper/songwriter recently wowed full houses in New York, Los Angeles, and SXSW with her unique melding of heavy beats, sharp rhymes, and synthpop hooks. A futuristic, electronic hip-hop soundtrack laced with robotically catchy pop hooks, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans portrays the rise of the young muse to the masses.

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: Redington Shores, FL

Already acclaimed as one of Alternative Press's "Bands You Need To Know," VersaEmerge (Fueled By Ramen) have just embarked on an intensive live schedule to promote the release of their first full lenth album, "Fixed At Zero." The dates kicked off with mainstage appearances at Hoodwink Festival and Bamboozle Festival, where the band was among a star-studded bill at the annual festivals, headlined by VersaEmerge's Fueled By Ramen labelmates Paramore.

What's more, VersaEmerge will be spending their summer rocking the crowds on the Vans TwentyTen. The annual festival trek hits the road June 25th at Carson, 's Home Depot Center, with dates continuing through mid-August.

Since coming together in 2007, VersaEmerge have earned attention for their distinctive blend of powerful pop sensibility and inventive post-hardcore sonics. Fueled by lead guitarist/programmer Blake Harnage's relentless experimentalism and Kusterbeck's expressive and energetic vocals, the band has already unleashed a formidable body of work, including last year's self-titled Fueled By Ramen debut EP. Produced by James Paul Wisner - known for his work with , , and The Academy Is... - the "VERSAEMERGE" EP was highlighted by "The Hider," which Kerrang! saluted as one of its "10 Songs You Should Hear Now."

An electrifying live act, VersaEmerge are already hardened road warriors, having toured alongside the likes of , , Craig Owens, Ace & Enders, The Color Fred, and The . The Port St. Lucie-based band - which spent late 2009 on the " Tour," a major North American trek co-headlined by and Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen's own - has also blown away festival crowds at both 2009's Vans Warped Tour and 's annual Give It A Name in London and .

Description:

The maturation of the Black Keys as record makers and performers has been both subtle and startling. With their 2008 Nonesuch release Attack & Release - the fifth album of their eight-year career which doubled the sales of their previous album and Nonesuch debut Magic Potion - guitarist and drummer illustrated the durability of their few-frills sound, a mysterious and heavy brew of seventies-vintage rock, classic R&B and timeless, downhearted blues. Producer and pal , their first outside collaborator, didn't try to reinvent their sound but further isolated Akron T-shirt Heather Black its essence with the help of a few carefully chosen guest players and some retro-modern electronic gear. It didn't need to get slicker to get better, or, as the Boston Globe put it, "Attack & Release proves that cleaning up the boys still won't stop them from tracking mud all over the house." Danger Mouse returned to co-produce "Tighten Up" on Brothers, but for the most part, the duo was on its own, spending ten days at the legendary Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama and coming up with the an even more intensely focused, deeply soulful set that includes a cover of Jerry Butler's "Never Gonna Give You Up." The performances are inventive and impassioned: Auerbach extends his vocal range to falsetto on lead-off track "Everlasting Light" and "The Only One"; "Howlin' For You" opens with a Gary Glitter-style drum riff and the chorus practically invites singing along. The tunes offer a surprising amount of lyrical candor and more than a little dark humor; the grooves alternate between ballsy swagger and bluesy rumination. The album reflects where Auerbach and Carney have been lately, most recently collaborating with a who's who of MC's, including RZA, Q Tip, and Raekwon on the 2009 BlakRoc super-session organized by hip-hop impresario and Black Keys fan Damon Dash. They've also pursued projects on their own, Auerbach with his solo Keep It Hid album and tour, Carney with his band Drummer and its debut disc, Feels Good Together. Their maturation didn't happen just in the studio, though. Carney admits, "Dan and I grew up a lot as individuals and musicians prior to making this album. Our relationship was tested in many ways but at the end of the day, we're brothers, and I think these songs reflect that."

Brothers was primarily cut in Muscle Shoals, a setting that turned out to have more in common with the Akron, factories where the Black Keys used to record. The place was desolate, the town depressed, so once again the duo slipped into a world all its own. They did additional recording at Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound System in Akron and The Bunker in Brooklyn. The album was mixed by engineer Tchad Blake, a veteran of sessions with Los Lobos, and Peter Gabriel. Says Carney, "The way he approaches mixing is the same way we approach making music. Respecting the past while being in the present.."

Description:

"It will do your heart good, do your spirits good, do your life good to come out and check them out and see this joyous music." --Taj Mahal on NPR's

Morning Edition, talking about the Carolina Chocolate Drops The Carolina Chocolate Drops are as much about revelation as revival. On its Nonesuch debut, Genuine Negro Jig, the trio brings exuberance, humor, virtuosity and an infectious acoustic groove to its exploration of a near-forgotten brand of banjo-driven string-band music originating more than a century ago in the foothills of , the region where band members Rhiannon Giddens and Justin Robinson were raised. In this rural area, musicians, both black and white, once shared and swapped tunes. Over the decades, the importance of the African-American role in string-band music was diminished, its sound and significance co-opted by minstrel shows and segregated by record labels. CCD -- under the tutelage of nonagenarian fiddler player Joe Thompson, one of the last surviving Piedmont musicians - have reclaimed the old-time songs, making them vital and fresh for right now, reasserting in the process the African roots of the banjo.

The Carolina Chocolate Drops have won over crowds at the Newport Folk Festival, on such National Public Radio shows as Mountain Stage and A Prairie Home Companion, and on tours through Europe. Denzel Washington personally selected the trio to appear in his critically acclaimed 2007 directorial effort, The Great Debaters. In a review of a CCD Kennedy Center performance, The Washington Post declared, "Their set was anything but academic...these instrument-swapping residents of Durham, N.C., kept the audience active with speedy strumming, jug-blowing and percussion via carved hand-held bones and foot-banging syncopation." The Boston Globe concurred: "The acoustic trio - banjo, fiddle, guitar - managed the minor miracle of evoking a sepia- drenched era of mountain music... Giddens, Robinson and Dom Flemons, all multi- instrumentalists and vocalists, conveyed their deep knowledge with a sense of reverence and studied antiquity- including their simple, era-appropriate costumes - and a contagious, abundant joy."

After two self-recorded independent releases, CCD chose to work with producer Joe Henry on Genuine Negro Jig. As with his production on Allen Toussaint's The Bright Mississippi, Henry emphasizes simplicity, clarity, interaction; with its striking lack of studio frills, the emphasis is on the spirit of these performances, which are often as intense as they are exhilarating. Uptempo numbers like live-show favorite "Cornbread and Butterbeans" and "Sandy Boys" are immediate standouts, though slow-burning, moody tracks like "Kissin' and Cussin'" and "Snowden's Jig (Genuine Negro Jig)" prove to be downright haunting. The versatile Giddens performs the Celtic-style balladry of "Reynadine" acapella; she's equally convincing taking lead on a brilliant recasting of the 2001 Blu Cantrell R&B-dance hit, "Hit ‘Em Up Style " Genuine Negro Jig starts out with the specific but winds up with the universal; this is music that has literally traveled continents and centuries to achieve a brand new relevance, a shared history still in the making.

ARTIST & INFO Hometown: North Carolina and

Nonesuch Records has signed North Carolina-based trio the Carolina Chocolate Drops, a young string band in the centuries-old Piedmont banjo and fiddle musical tradition. The group's members-Dom Flemons, Rhiannon Giddens, and Justin Robinson-all trade duties as singers and swap instruments, too.

Old-time Southern string music is often associated with Caucasian musicians from Appalachia, not African-Americans from the North Carolina Piedmont. But as Giddens pointed out in a recent NPR interview, "It seems that two things get left out of the history books. One, that there was string band music in the Piedmont, period. And that ... black folk was such a huge part of string tradition." Carolina Chocolate Drops seek to not only correct this misunderstanding, but to keep the old-time string music tradition alive.

The group was formed after Flemons, Giddens, and Robinson met at the Black Banjo Gathering in Boone, NC. They have learned that tradition under the tutelage of Joe Thompson-who at age 90 is believed to be the last living performer from the Piedmont string band heyday. Their repertoire is centered around the traditional music of the early twentieth century but also includes original material as well as a show-stopping cover of Blu Cantrell's 2001 single "Hit ‘Em Up Style."

The members of Carolina Chocolate Drops come from diverse musical backgrounds. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Dom Flemons has immersed himself in music of the past, with a prodigious record collection and an immense knowledge of the different playing styles of the blues, country, and string band traditions. His influences include Ma Rainey, , and the Band. As a part of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Flemons uses his harmonicas for additional melody, and his jug and guitar root the band's rhythm.

Rhiannon Giddens, a Piedmont native, grew up with the sounds of bluegrass from one side of her family and classic blues and jazz records on the other. After graduating the Oberlin Conservatory, she fell into contra dancing and became inspired by the Roundpeak-style old time bands she heard at the dances. She worked extra jobs to buy her first banjo and fiddle, and hasn't looked back since. Giddens' style is heavily influenced by the playing of Joe and Odell Thompson. She also calls contra and social dances, and is working on playing and calling simultaneously.

Justin Robinson is the group's main fiddler and also plays banjo. He grew up in a house full of musicians-his mother is a classically trained opera singer and cellist, his sister a classical pianist, and his grandfather a harmonica player. Robinson played classical violin from the age of nine. Besides Piedmont string band music, he also is interested in Revolutionary War music, and fife and drum tradition of in the Deep South.

Description:

Antifogmatic, the follow-up to the Punch Brothers' 2008 debut, Punch, is a collaboratively written collection of songs from these "five wily, omnivorous bluegrass titans," as the Village Voice has called them, a quintet that the Washington Post, in turn, has described as "some of the best string pickers of the new generation."

Antifogmatic is seamlessly sequenced to display the collective imagination, the instrumental and vocal power, of the band -Thile, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjo player Noam Pikelny, and fiddler Gabe Witcher. Though the quintet is now based in New York City, where they have an informal residency at Manhattan's The Living Room, they recorded and mixed the album at Hollywood's historic Ocean Way studio with iconoclastic producer Jon Brion (Brad Mehldau, Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple, ) and engineer Greg Koller. Says Witcher, "We knew we needed a producer equally as well-versed in pop and rock as in instrumental music, and I don't think there is anyone more able to capture and communicate the essence of this material than Jon Brion."

The arrangements on Antifogmatic range from intimate to boisterous and back; genre-wise, the band once again ventures where no string band has ever gone before. The spare opening track "You Are" contrasts percussive guitar riffs with lyrical string parts that dance around Thile's sweet upper register as he spins a tale of romantic emancipation; occasionally, the other instruments give way to reveal the throb of the bass. The band also engages in some unexpectedly beautiful harmony singing, smoothing out the compelling melodic twists and turns of "Welcome Home." "Me and Us" and "Woman and the Bell" both have a dream-like quality; the former, in fact, was inspired by those jumbled, thought-filled moments before sleep sets in, and the instrumentation keeps pace with the ever-shifting imagery. In contrast, "Don't Need No" and "Rye Whiskey" are foot-stomping barroom boasts and"Next to the Trash" is the closest the band gets to traditional bluegrass, even as the lyrics tug the piece in a more surreal direction.

The Punch Brothers are as comfortable at the jam band-oriented Bonnaroo Festival, where they will appear in June, as at Carnegie Hall. Their fan base ranges from the hip youthful crowds that packed the Living Room to the dedicated listeners of NPR's Prairie Home Companion, which has also hosted the exceedingly good-humored boys.

The group will be on tour throughout the spring and summer and will make appearances at the Newport Folk Festival and the Telluride Blugrass Festival. A special deluxe edition of Antifogmatic includes a four-song instrumental EP and a seven-song DVD filmed during the band's Living Room residency. The first 250 copies will also include a signed "Punch Cocktail Recipe Guide." The word "Antifogmatic," explains Thile," is an old term for a bracing beverage, generally rum or whiskey, that a person would have before going out to work in rough weather to stave off any ill effects. This batch of tunes could be used in much the same way, and includes some characters who would probably benefit mightily, if temporarily, from a good antifogmatic."

ALBUM FACTS Genre: Rock Description: Some time in the last few years Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers took a left turn. Maybe it was when Petty woke up in the night with the idea of reuniting his first band, Mudcrutch, to cut the album they never got a chance to make back in the early 70s. Maybe it was when the Heartbreakers assembled the mammoth multi-disc The Live Anthology, which detailed thirty years of concerts. Maybe it was when they gave all their home movies, outtakes and live footage to director Peter Bogdanovich to create the Grammy-winning four-hour career documentary Runnin' Down A Dream. There have been side projects and experiments since the band last went into the studio to cut a new Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album. With MOJO, they have taken their recent freedom and experimentation to heart. They have gone off the reservation and all signs indicate they aren't coming back.

The first thing that hits you about MOJO is that the spirit of the Mudcrutch sessions has carried on with the Heartbreakers. This is the sound of a band playing together in a room - not a studio - facing each other, all singing and playing at the same time. The music is alive, with no overdubs or studio trickery. What you hear is what they created on the spot at that time.

Tom Petty says, "With this album, I want to show other people what I hear with the band. MOJO is where the band lives when it's playing for itself."

As for the songs, MOJO showcases a wide variety of American music from rock ‘n' roll to country and both electric and acoustic blues. And then there are the images in Petty's lyrics which slip in on the melodies and set up a home in your head: The barefoot girl in the high grass chewing on a stick of sugar cane, the run-in with the law that begins when a carload of buddies decide to party with the motel maids, and the hilariously audacious idea of opening an album with an electric blues rocker about Thomas Jefferson's love affair with Sally Hemings. Petty would probably chuck a rock at anyone who called him a poet, but he sure is a southern writer of humor and sensitivity.

MOJO has juice and guts but it also has some sweet balladry for the slow dancers and even a wacked-out reggae number that is unlike anything that Heartbreakers have done before. It's the kind of album nobody's supposed to be able to make anymore. It got here just in time.

ARTIST & INFO Band Members: Tom Petty - Vocals, Guitar Mike Campbell - Guitar Benmont Tench - Keyboards Ron Blair -- Bass S cott Thurston - Harmonica, Guitar Steve Ferrone -- Drums TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS released their debut album in 1976. Since that time they have sold more than 50 million records and earned a reputation as being among the most successful and exciting touring acts in the business.

Between the Heartbreakers' recordings and his solo work, Tom Petty has received 18 Grammy nominations. Honored with lifetime achievement awards including Billboard's Century Award, MTV's Video Vanguard Award, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tom Petty, with the Heartbreakers at his side, has achieved the status of legend among his fellow musicians and listeners worldwide.

ARTIST & INFO Randy Travis (born May 4, 1959) is an American country singer. Active since 1985, he has recorded more than a dozen studio albums to date, in addition to charting more than thirty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which sixteen have reached Number One. Considered a pivotal figure in the history of country music, Travis broke through in the mid-1980s with the release of his album Storms of Life on Warner Bros. Records; the album sold more than three million copies. It also established him as a neotraditionalist country act, and was followed by a string of several more platinum and Around The Bend T-shirt multi-platinum albums throughout his career. Starting in the mid-1990s, however, Travis saw decline in his chart success. (Album Art) White He left Warner Bros. in 1997 for DreamWorks Records; there, he would eventually switch his focus to gospel music, a switch which - despite earning him only one more country hit in the Number One "Three Wooden Crosses" - earned him several Dove Awards. Travis, in addition to singing, holds several acting credits, starting with his television special Wind in the Wire in 1992. Since then, he has appeared in several movie and television roles, occasionally as himself.

Description: Fresh off a month-long tour with former partner-in-rhyme, Chamillionaire, Houston rapper, Paul Wall, is all set to drop his 4th major label album, Heart of a Champion, on June 29th through SwishaHouse/Asylum Records. Almost half of the tracks featured on the album are produced by long-time friend and Expensive Taste band-mate, Travis Barker.

Feature duties for Heart of a Champion include a diverse list of cast members including Jim Jones, and Raekwon, but do not ignore Paul's Houston roots; Bun B, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Devin the Dude and Lil' Keke each get their turn at the mic. Another Houston feature is Johnny Dang aka TV Johnny with whom Paul Wall shares a grills and jewelry business which caters to A-list celebrities and average Joes alike.

The album will also feature several songs from Expensive Taste, the group which includes (Transplants) in addition to Paul and Travis. Houston-based production duo, Beanz N Kornbread, are credited with the majority of the tracks not produced by Travis, including lead single "I'm on Patron", a lyrical documentary of a feeling that most of us have experienced - and greatly regretted the next day - that of simply having too much fun of the liquid variety. "I'm On Patron" is the perfect accompaniment to that 'blame it on the alcohol' kind of night and sure to be a party staple.
