Fruit Unlike other glossy tomatoes, Sweet Treats has a deep rich matte finish with beautiful coloring. The crisp fruit are rich and sweet; Brix of 8-9 can be achieved with certain cultivation techniques. Along with the variety’s appealing and uniform fruit, it also has an excellent tolerance to cracking. Sweet Treats is globe shaped with an average weight of 20-30 grams.

The plant is grower friendly and easy to grow for both farmers and home gardeners. The yield is high due to its setting ability making Sweet Treats a profitable choice for farmers. The plant can be pruned and grown on only 2-4 stems or it can be left unpruned and grown on multiple stems. Fruit grows in clusters of 12-15 fruit per truss. This variety is resistant to ToMV (stains 0&1), Fusarium 1&2, leaf mold and has intermediate resistance to gray leaf spot and crown & root rot.

Stage One: The fruit is too immature to harvest.

Stage Two: Picking the fruit at this stage provides enough shelf life for long distance shipment.

Stage Three: This is the perfect time to harvest for local shipment and for farmer marketers.

Stage Four: Sweet Treats is at its prime ripeness. We recommend that home gardeners harvest at stage four to take full advantage of the flavors Sweet Treats has to offer.
