INVITATION «Alexander the Great» FIS ROLLERSKI AMFIPOLIS HELLAS 12-13 SEP 2015 VENUE AMFIPOLIS The municipality of Amfipolis was born from the amalgamation of Capodestrian municipalities of Amfipolis, Kormistas, Protis and Rodolivos. It is located at the southern edge of the prefecture of Serres and in the east of the region of central Macedonia, stretched out to the foot of Mt. Paggaio. In Amfipolis, every stone, every corner hides a small piece of the old historical past of this land. The name of the municipality and it’s well known sign (Amfipoli’s lion) is derived from the ancient city of Amfipolis, founded by Athenian colonists in 437 BC. The city became the main commercial center of the region and in conjunction with mines at Paggaio mount was developed greatly and became the largest shopping center in the region and the second largest city of Macedonia. At the outfalls of Strimona river, the ships that Alexander the Great owed were constructed and the big campaign against the Persians started. Apostle Paul passed and catechized here. The Municipality of Amphipolis has the unique "piece" with Sea in Serres prefecture with organized beaches. Also in this special part of this region are the martyred Kerdylia with 250 victims of Nazi Germany. By visiting the modern museum of Amphipolis and the archaeological site of Amfipolis you will be aware of the history of this region. Here lies the tomb "Casta", the focal point of the public interest, site of the largest funerary monument in Europe. One of the unknown "sides" of Amphipolis is the old Mesolakkia or Lakovikia. At the foot of Mt. Paggaio at the boundary of Municipal Districts of Mesolakkia, Palaiokomi, Settlement of Nea Fili and Mikro Souli are the famous prehistoric rock paintings of Paleolithic period. Rodolivos is the seat of the municipality, with its picturesque streets and stately mansions. The preservable settlement of Proti, in where the Great Ethnarch Konstantinos Karamanlis originates from. Here is the extraordinary beauty of the canyon Aggitis Contribution to Municipal District as well as the Monastery Ikosifinissa, the limits of Community Kormitsa witness the 91 victims of the fascist Bulgarian occupation, the oldest active monastery in Greece and Europe, the Monastery of the Ascension First and the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi Domirou. Here is the exceptional beauty of Aggiti’s gorge at the municipal district of Simvoli, the Monastery Ikosifinissa to the borders of the martyred community of Kormista with 91 victims of the fascist Bulgaria, the oldest active monastery in Greece and Europe, the monastery of Analipsi in Proti and the monastery of Agia Paraskeui in Domiros. In this land with the rich tradition, are revived great old customs, such as Orphic Echoes, Qurbani and the Kouritos, but and newer as the National Mathitiada and the Festival of Amfipolis. The area has a rich cultural life, honoring and continuing the story of the ancestors with the local festivals in New Bafra, Krinida, Iliokomi and Angistas. SAMSARIS LA VALLEE DU BAS-STRYMON A L’ EPOQUE IMPERIALE Contribution dpigraphique a la topographie, Γ onomastique, Γ histoire et aux cultes de la province romaine de Macddoine Introduction41 La prdsente dtude est divisde en deux parties, dont la premiere, consacrde a la documentation dpigraphique, comporte un catalogue des inscriptions grecques et latines trouvdes dans la vallde du Bas-Strymon. II s’ agit d’ inscriptions dont la plupart ont dtd trouvdes par moi-mdme, apres une longue recherche d’ environ vingtaine d’ anndes (voir plus bas, p. 208) et elles sont conserves aujourd’ hui dans leur grande majoritd au musde archdologique de Senes. Dans la seconde partie on essaie de mettre en valeur les nouvelles donndes dpigraphiques sur la gdographie historique, Γ onomastique, la population, la societd, Γ dconomie, les institutions, les cultes etc. d’ une partie de la province romaine de Macddoine qui s’ dtendait dans la vallde du Bas-Strymon. D faut prdciser ici que le catalogue d’ inscriptions est rdsultat de mon travail pour la prdparation d’ un Corpus, dont Γ ddition dtait dans mes projets, il y a ddja beaucoup d’ amides1. Entre temps Γ Acaddmie de Sciences de Berlin m ’ a confid en 1982 le soin de rddiger un fascicule de Γ IG X, qui comprenerait les inscriptions trouvdes entre les fleuves de Γ Axios et du Nestos, sauf celles- ci d’ Amphipolis et de Philippes2. Pourtant le service archdologique n’ a pas donnd le permis d’ dtudier les inscriptions en question en fermant ses yeux sur mes droits «morals», puisque la majoritd de ces inscriptions ont dtd trouvdes, sauvdes et encore transportdes par moi-mdme, motivd alors exclusivement par mon «patriotisme» local comme originaire de Serres.

(Board of Directors No 645/6/15.09.2015 and 645/7/15.9.2015), the collection of cadastral survey declarations will begin on 28 September 2015, with anyone having a right to real property located in the pre-Kapodistrias Municipalities/Communities in the Kallikratis Municipalities of Amfipoli, Visaltia, E. Pappa and N.
