VENUE AMFIPOLIS The municipality of Amfipolis was born from the amalgamation of Capodestrian municipalities of Amfipolis, Kormistas, Protis and Rodolivos. It is located at the southern edge of the prefecture of Serres and in the east of the region of central Macedonia, stretched out to the foot of Mt. Paggaio. In Amfipolis, every stone, every corner hides a small piece of the old historical past of this land. The name of the municipality and it’s well known sign (Amfipoli’s lion) is derived from the ancient city of Amfipolis, founded by Athenian colonists in 437 BC. The city became the main commercial center of the region and in conjunction with mines at Paggaio mount was developed greatly and became the largest shopping center in the region and the second largest city of Macedonia. At the outfalls of Strimona river, the ships that Alexander the Great owed were constructed and the big campaign against the Persians started. Apostle Paul passed and catechized here. The Municipality of Amphipolis has the unique "piece" with Sea in Serres prefecture with organized beaches. Also in this special part of this region are the martyred Kerdylia with 250 victims of Nazi Germany. By visiting the modern museum of Amphipolis and the archaeological site of Amfipolis you will be aware of the history of this region. Here lies the tomb "Casta", the focal point of the public interest, site of the largest funerary monument in Europe. One of the unknown "sides" of Amphipolis is the old Mesolakkia or Lakovikia. At the foot of Mt. Paggaio at the boundary of Municipal Districts of Mesolakkia, Palaiokomi, Settlement of Nea Fili and Mikro Souli are the famous prehistoric rock paintings of Paleolithic period. Rodolivos is the seat of the municipality, with its picturesque streets and stately mansions. The preservable settlement of Proti, in where the Great Ethnarch Konstantinos Karamanlis originates from. Entre temps Γ Acaddmie de Sciences de Berlin m ’ a confid en 1982 le soin de rddiger un fascicule de Γ IG X, qui comprenerait les inscriptions trouvdes entre les fleuves de Γ Axios et du Nestos, sauf celles- ci d’ Amphipolis et de Philippes2. Pourtant le service archdologique n’ a pas donnd le permis d’ dtudier les inscriptions en question en fermant ses yeux sur mes droits «morals», puisque la majoritd de ces inscriptions ont dtd trouvdes, sauvdes et encore transportdes par moi-mdme, motivd alors exclusivement par mon «patriotisme» local comme originaire de Serres.

Zixni in the Regional Unit of Serres in the Region of Central Macedonia and in the pre-Kapodistrias Municipalities/Communities in the Kallikratis Municipalities of Orestiada and Didymoteicho in the Regional Unit of Evros in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace being invited to submit declarations for their real property either at the Cadastral Survey Office in the region where their real property is located or online at the Cadastre website www.ktimatologio.gr The deadline for the submission of declarations for these regions, which begins on 28 September 2015, is 28 December 2015 for residents of Greece and 28 March 2016 for expatriates and the Greek State.
