An invaluable teaching tool.By Rob MooreThis book can benefit folks on two levels: those who can actually use it as a practical curriculum (those who can actually go through the rigors of professional wrestling training), and those like me who may be physically unable to do it but want a better understanding of what it takes to be successful. With the territories gone, wrestling needs more true trainers like Dr. Tom, Rudy Boy Gonzalez and others to pass their knowledge on to the next generation. This book is a great start in showing the ropes.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Five StarsBy FACADEGreat book! Very informative0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. If you are willing to learnBy Steven HayesTom Prichard. The people the man has taught, and the things the man has done should speak for themselves. He knows the ins and outs of pro wrestling, and what it takes to make it in the business of sports entertainment. Anyone looking for an outline as to what goes into becoming a pro wrestler should read this book. While he states that it is not a be all end all for training methods, you would be foolish to not be able to take something from this book. Be it your first year of wrestling, or more, there can be something learned from Tom. With over 30 years experience in professional wrestling, Dr. Tom Prichard was an integral part of WWE's developmental system beginning in 1996-2004. His first students were Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Mark Henry and Achim Albrecht (Brakkus). Dr. Tom was the first coach and trainer and after a brief break, returned to WWE and was once again Head coach and trainer for the developmental system from 2007-2012. A Pro Wrestling Curriculum is a one year, daily schedule for students and coaches to follow and learn from. There are lists, suggestions and ideas as well as holds, moves and an overall foundation to build on. This is a teaching manual not meant to describe how each hold is done step by step. Not every hold is meant for everybody! This curriculum was done with the idea a more experienced and knowledgeable coach/trainer was in attendance. There is is not just one way to learn and /or teach anything! Even the basic manuevers in this curriculum can be dangerous and should not be attempted without proper supervision. But if you are just starting or been plying your trade on the independent scene, the lists and suggestions are invaluable. Dr. Tom includes an email he can be reached at if you have any questions about the holds or suggestions in this curriculum. A MUST for anyone looking to get to the next level or just wants an insight to how a developmental system might be run by the big leagues! Some of the stars who trained under Dr. Tom Prichard include The Rock, Mark Henry, Sheamus, Edge, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Ted DiBiase Jr, Heath Slater, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, Seth Rollins, Xavier Woods, Mason Ryan, Alex Riley, Husky Harris, Bo Rotundo, Mike Mondo, Jinder Mahal, Luke Gallows, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Zach Ryder, Justin Gabriel, Ryback, Dave Otunga, Leo Kruger, Kris Logan, Alberto Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Tyson Kidd, Harry Smith, Rick Victor, Jack Swagger, The Usos, Brodus Clay, James Bronson, Corey Graves, Conor O'Brien, Kenneth Cameron, Hunico, Camacho, Ezekiel Jackson, Wes Brisco, Drew McIntyre, Johnny Curtis, Michael McGillicutty, Yoshi Tatsu, Briley Pierce, Wade Barrett, trent Baretta, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Sinn Bohdi, Rob Terry, Orlando Colon, The Bella Twins, Natalya Niedhart, Tamina Snuka, Kaitlyn, Leakee and many more! About the AuthorDr. Tom Prichard is one of the most respected professional wrestling coaches/trainers in the business. Starting as a teenager Tom worked in the Houston Wrestling office for promoter Paul Boesch and had a succesful wrestling career that included winning many championships along with a WWE Tag Team Championship run with his partner Chris Candido as The Body Donnas (Skip Zip) with their manager Sunny. After his active wrestling days were over, Tom was offered to be the first ever coach of the WWF (wasn't "E" yet) developmental system in 1996 to help create new stars for the industry leader. Since the beginning of WWE's developmental system, Tom has been involved one way or another whether it was giving advice to a former student or coming back to be Head Coach once again and create world champions and Superstars for WWE. With over 30 years experience in and around professional wrestling, Tom is highly respected for his knowledge in and out of the ring. His passion for pro wrestling and sports entertainment is still just as strong today and continues to do camps, seminars and appearances across the country. He is still contacted by many former students as well as potential wrestlers coming up, looking for sound advice. We had up to 750 viewers simultaneously on Facebook and also had some students and a trainer (Toby Blunt) in attendance to provide some crowd noise and cheering at key points during the announcement. Marquee Events are wXw's version of pay-per-view caliber shows, where feuds start and end and international talent often appears. There currently are 10 marquee events on the calendar, with some of them being multi-day shows:

It began in 1987 as Wild West Wrestling , the program for the short-lived Fort Worth-based promotion of the same name, from its debut until the Wild West promotion was absorbed into World Class Championship Wrestling late that year. It then became one of the two nationally-syndicated programs for WCCW (the other being the long-running World Class Championship Wrestling ) until WCCW's purchase by Memphis wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett and subsequent renaming to the United States Wrestling Association in August 1989, at which point Wild West Wrestling was renamed as USWA Main Event and continued production under that name until it ended in August 1990. Cubed Circle Newsletter – Payback 2013 In this week’s newsletter we look at the 2013 Payback pay-per-view, as well as the fallout from RAW, the rating that the show did, NXT, a decent edition of iMPACT, All Japan fallout and SmackDown. It is a smaller issue than usual, but fear not! As next week we will be back with a look at Saturday’s New Japan Dominion show, as well as ROH’s Best in the World iPPV. We also have a few big changes coming to the newsletter in the coming months, so stay tuned for that. And with all of that out of the way, I hope that you enjoy the newsletter and have a great week. - Ryan Clingman, Cubed Circle Newsletter Editor News WWE Continue Great Run with Payback The past week and a half or so has been a great period for the WWE from a quality perspective, and they continued that run this week with a their 2013 Payback show from the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Going into the show I wasn’t expecting a blow-away card, but they over delivered with some great moments in front of a crowd that has been arguably one of their most consistently great ones over the past few years. The show was expected to be somewhat of an unnoteworthy show, but the opposite was actually the case, with multiple title changing hands, and seeds for the biggest feud of the summer, Brock Lesnar versus CM Punk, being planted during a great outing between CM Punk and Chris Jericho.
