N.B. Unless otherwise specified in the conditions of a race, rating allowances shall not be cumulative to the extent of more than 20lbs. N.B. In all races advertised for 1100 metres, where they are more than ten (10) starters the Steriline starting gates will be substituted for the Jack Gill starting gates. N.B. DECLARATION OF STARTERS In any race declaration must be made at the Registry Office by 10:00AM two days prior to the scheduled day of the race or at such time and date as the Stewards may prescribe. 7. 1(a)(i) In all races declaration of jockeys/apprentices must be made at the Registry Office by 10:00AM on the day fixed for declaration to run or at such time and date as the Stewards may prescribe. The declaration of a jockey/apprentice shall be accompanied by an engagement/retainer form which must be signed by a jockey or his agent and the Trainer/Owner/Authorised or Registered Agent and shall state the bodyweight at which the jockey contracts to ride (Rule 50(C) (i)). 7. 1(a)(ii) In any race where a horse is a reserve starter a rider need not be declared until such time as the horse becomes an assured runner. At this time the rider must be declared as soon as possible and the engagement/retainer form submitted to the Registry Office at the time of such declaration. If the Stewards consider that there has been any unreasonable delay in declaring a rider and submitting the engagement/retainer form they may deem the horse a non-starter. 7. 1(a)(iii) No jockey/apprentice may be changed without the permission of the Stewards after 1.00PM on the day fixed for declaration to run. As a condition of entry, the Owners of all horses entered agree that in the event of a jockey/apprentice not having been declared by the aforesaid time and the engagement/retainer form not submitted the horse shall be deemed a non-starter. N.B. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR HORSES WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN PASSED AT THE STARTING GATE BY THE STARTER OR HIS SUBSTITUTE OR AS THE STEWARDS MAY PRESCRIBE. NB. ALSO, ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR HORSES WHICH ARE NOT VACCINATED AS REQUIRED UNDER APPENDIX 10-6; 6.1; 6.2; 6.3; 6.4; 6.5; AND 6.6 AND RULE 38B (f) AND (g) OF THE RULES OF RACING OF THE BARBADOS TURF CLUB OR AS THE STEWARDS MAY PRESCRIBE. N.B. If a race is made null and void the horses that have taken entry may take entry in another race on the programme for which the horse is eligible. This new entry must be made along with any increase to the entry fee no later than 3:00PM on the day of general entry or at such time and date as the Stewards may prescribe. Horses that take entry in more than one race on a given day need only to pay one jockey insurance fee ($7.00) with their entry fee. N.B. Acknowledging that curriculum, which ontologically and epistemologically influences the norms and values of the learning environment, is not a neutral document (Ross 2001, 1) the authors focus on how they enact curricula outside of Canada to discuss issues of rights and diversity as well as to challenge hegemonic narratives of white Canadian nation-building and historiography and ideas of Canada as a benevolent nation-state.
