    ORION PICTURES AQUIRES NORTH AMERICAN AND LATIN AMERICAN RIGHTS TO BLAZING GRIFFIN’S ZOMBIE MUSICAL ‘ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE’ Los Angeles – January 9, 2018 — Orion Pictures, recently relaunched by Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) as a new, stand-alone U.S. theatrical marketing and distribution company, has acquired the North American and Latin American rights to John McPhail’s award-winning zombie holiday musical Anna and the Apocalypse. The announcement was made today by John Hegeman, President, Orion Pictures. Orion plans to release Anna and the Apocalypse in the 2018 holiday season. The film stars Ella Hunt (Our Robot Overlords) as Anna, Mark Benton (The Halcyon), Paul Kaye (Game Of Thrones) and a breakout group of emerging talent including Malcom Cumming, Ben Wiggins, Sarah Swire, Christopher Leveaux and Marli Siu. Embraced by fans and critics alike, the film’s world premiere at Fantastic Fest this year was met with critical acclaim. It also played at Sitges Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Midnight X-Treme Feature Length Film. Anna and the Apocalypse is based on the 2010 BAFTA winning short film Zombie Musical; directed by John McPhail (Where Do We Go From Here); written by Alan McDonald and the late Ryan McHenry (Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal viral series); with original music by Roddy Hart and Tommy Reilly. The film was produced by Naysun Alae-Carew and Nicholas Crum of Blazing Griffin and Tracy Jarvis of Parkhouse Pictures in association with Creative Scotland. Founded in 1933, it is a registered charity governed by Royal Charter. In 2011, it was given additional responsibilities, becoming a Government arm’s length body and distributor of Lottery funds for film, widening its strategic focus. The BFI now combines a cultural, creative and industrial role.     HOME to Receive Global Online Premiere with Vimeo on World Refugee Day June 20, 2017 Jack O’Connell and Holliday Grainger star in BAFTA winning short film Winner of Best Short Film at this year’s British Academy Film Awards, HOME will today receive a global online premiere on Vimeo. Starring Jack O'Connell and Holliday Grainger the powerful 20-minute short film was shot in three countries and has been released today to highlight World Refugee Day. HOME was released in the UK theatrically in 2016 and was broadcast on BBC earlier this year. The BAFTA winning film will be exclusively available to watch online globally for the next 7 days here. The ambition of the 20-minute film is to address the current refugee crisis and help drive global awareness to support UNHCR’s World Refugee Day today, Tuesday 20th June. Written and directed by BAFTA-winning director, Daniel Mulloy (BABY, ANTONIO’S BREAKFAST, DAD), HOME aims to remind the viewer that refugees are just like you or I - fathers, mothers, sons and daughters – for whom the meaning of the word “home” has undergone a traumatic re-evaluation. In addition, viewers are encouraged to sign the Refugee Day petition which asks governments to ensure education for children, safe housing, job opportunities and the chance for refugees to learn the necessary skills to support their families.
