God Does Not Abandon Us

From not caring about God to the desire to be a man of God, Scott Schwalbe’s conversion has been gradual. Scott now realizes that God was always there and when he was open, God rushed towards him. “Faith is a grace from God which we can accept or ignore. Listen for His quiet voice. Faith Formation News from Sheila, Birth-KG, Children’s Ministry, RCIA, [email protected] or 288-5528 x 101 No Sunday School today. A miracle is a sign of God’s power and glory, a remarkable and amazing event that cannot be explained. Today we hear how Jesus performed his first miracle by changing water into wine. It was his mother, Mary, who initiated the request in which he obeyed. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, help us to turn to you in times of difficulty and place our trust in your goodness and love. Mother Mary and St. Cecilia pray for us. Amen.

News from Stacey, Grades 1-5, Family Ministry, [email protected] or 288-5528 x 108 Grades 1-5: No classes on Monday, January 21st due to MKJ Jr Day. On Monday, January 28th, we will have Faith Formation classes for grades 1-4 and the 5th graders will have parent/child learning centers on the sacraments. Learning centers will be open 4:00-7:00pm in South Fr. Zenk Hall. First Communion: We will have a Parent Meeting (only one parent needs to attend) on Monday, January 21st at 6:00pm in Fr. Zenk Hall. Please bring a small photo of your child and your calendars so you can save the dates for learning centers and First Communion weekend Mass times.

Virtues in Practice: Our January virtue is fidelity and the 3-5 grades will look at a married couple, Blessed Luigi and Maria Beltrame Quattrocchi. This couple was known for their openness to life, their hope in the midst of difficult family situations, and their loving commitment. Luigi and Maria were blessed with four children: one was a Benedictine nun and two were called to the priesthood. Their fourth child was given very little chance to survive, but she was born healthy. Both Luigi and Maria grew in their love for one another and their love for God by trusting in His promises. Blessed Luigi and Maria, help us to grow in fidelity as you did. Pray for us. Amen.
