News release For immediate release OLYMEL RECEIVES A 2016 INNOVATION AWARD FROM THE CONSEIL DE LA TRANSFORMATION AGROALIMENTAIRE DU QUÉBEC (CTAQ) FOR ITS LAFLEUR GRANDMA'S CRETONS IN INDIVIDUAL PORTIONS St-Hyacinthe, Friday, November 25, 2016 - Olymel has once again garnered an Innovation Award (2016) from the Conseil de la transformation agroalimentaire du Québec (CTAQ) in the New or Improved Products/Meat and Poultry Products category thanks to Lafleur Grandma's Cretons in individual portions 8 x 35g (280g). The award ceremony was held in Boucherville on Wednesday, November 23 at the annual CTAQ Marketing Event Gala. The Lafleur Grandma's Cretons product in individual portions had to meet quality standards in innovation, efficiency, nutritional profile, practicality, enjoyment and taste, sustainable development and, lastly, potential for success in grocery stores, to win the jury's vote. " I would like to congratulate Lise Gagnon, Vice President, Marketing, R & D; Joanne Dalpé, Senior Manager, Innovation & Products; Marika Côté, Project Manager R & D; Joëlle Rémillard, Assistant Manager, Innovation & Products; and Lisanne Ménard, Lafleur Brand Manager, for their teamwork. I would also like to acknowledge the contribution made by the production, sales and administrative support staff, without which it would not have been possible to obtain such an award. In fact, Olymel Smart Nature products (2012) and Flamingo Quisine (2014) have also garnered the award. Olymel also won the 2014 CTAQ Innovation Award in the Large Company/Technology and Productivity category for installing tertiary wastewater treatment facilities in the hog slaughterhouse and butchering plant at St-Esprit in the Lanaudière region.
