If the world's temperature rises more than 2 Celsius degrees compared to pre- industrial revolution, climate change will become irreversible and will have huge impacts in the long term. With the global temperature rise, increase in the frequency and impact of extreme weather events such as drought, flood, hurricane are observed, human communities are at serious risk as well as plants, animals and ecosystems as a result of factors such as the increase of seawater levels, acidification of oceans and the melting of glaciers. Scientifically obtained concrete data reveal that greenhouse gases created by humans cause global climate change. Constituting 70% of the global population and 80% of greenhouse gas emissions, cities play an important role in combatting with climate change. Local governments have important means of combating in urban planning, transportation, buildings and waste, which are their main areas of authority and responsibility. Under the Capacity Building in the Field of Climate Change in Turkey Grant Scheme supported by the EU, we have prepared Denizli Climate Change Action Plan, as one of the main activities of “Power the Revolution for Climate Action Project” of which Central Finance and Contracts Unit, is the Contracting Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is the beneficiary and Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is the implementing institution. Denizli Climate Change Action Plan is a plan that sets out the framework for mitigation and adaptation in combatting with climate change. The Climate Change Action Plan prepared at city scale will contribute to achieving the goal of a low-carbon and climate-resilient Denizli. I would like to express my gratitude to our municipality staff, public institutions and organizations in Denizli, non-governmental organizations, private sector representatives and REC Turkey for their support. Denizli Climate Change Action Plan will contribute to national, regional and local policies and Turkey's development objectives towards sustainability. I hope that this valuable work will be an example for other projects that will be necessary in this way and will contribute to the development of the capacity of Turkey's mitigation and adaptation. Today, more than 600 antigenic structure was detected among 29 blood groups. However, ABO and Rh antigenic structure were taken into consideration in transfusion medicine. To know the rates of the blood groups in a city really helps the citizens in need and blood bank employees. There isn’t any study on frequency of blood groups in Denizli. In this study, we aimed to find out the rates of ABO and Rh blood groups in Denizli province and provide new data to the literature. This study is fulfilled by evaluation of 64.840 people, who were applied to Denizli State Hospital for identification of blood groups between January 2005 and August 2009. Blood groups were examined by gel-centrifugation method. In our study, 58.292 (89.9%) people were found Rh positive and 6548 (10.1%) people were found Rh negative. The frequency of the blood groups A, O, B, AB were found in order as 42.6%, 33.3%,16.8%, 7.4% respectively. The rates of blood groups in Denizli are similar throughout Turkey and in city basis. We consider that this study, which is the first in our city, will contribute to the literature.

Özet Honaz Dağı ve çevresinde genel olarak, aşağı seviyelerde hakim elemanını kızılçamların, yukarı seviyelerde karaçamların oluşturduğu kuru ormanlar yayılış gösterir. Honaz kütlesinin kuzey yüzleri, Büyük Menderes vadisi boyunca sokulan Akdeniz ikliminin, iç kesimler ve güney yüzler ise karasal iklimin etkisinde kaldığından kütlenin kuzey ve güneyindeki bitki örtüsü farklıdır. Daha nemli kuzey yüzlerde türce daha çeşitli ve gür bir maki formasyonu gelişmiş olduğu halde güney yüzlerde, makinin ancak kuraklığa en dayanıklı birkaç türünden oluşan garig formasyonu yayılış gösterir. Bunun yanında, kuzey yüzlerdeki vadi içleri, güney kesimden farklı olarak, çoğu Karadeniz iklimine özgü nemcil bitki türlerini(Tilia rubra subsp. caucasica, Castanea sativa, Populus tremula, Corylus avellana, Cornus mas, C.sanguinea, Mespilus germenica, Sorbus torminalis, Fraxinus angustifolia, Acer hyrcanum subsp. keckianum) barındırmaktadır. Honaz Dağındaki bitki toplulukları (kütlede en geniş yayılışı olan kuru ormanlar, maki ve garig formasyonları, ağaç sınırının üzerindeki Alpin bitkiler) içinde en dikkate değeri kuzey yüzlerdeki vadi içlerinde maki elemanlarıyla birlikte ortaya çıkan Karadeniz kökenli nemcil türlerdir. Bunlar, Pleistosen’deki buzul devrinde bugünkünden daha nemli iklim şartları altında, kuzeyden Honaz kütlesine kadar sokulan nemcil bitkilerin kalıntıları (relikt) olmalıdır. Bindallı, peştamal, holta, salta, üç etek gibi yöresel giyim elemanları endüstriyel gelişme ve modern yaşantı nedeniyle sürekli değişim içinde olup zamanla unutulmaktadır. Üç parça etekten meydana geldiği için üç etek olarak anılan bu yöresel giysi gerek tarihi devirlerde gerekse günümüzde geleneksel Türk kadın giyiminin en yaygın, en çok kabul gören, özel bir modeli olmuştur. Kaybolmaya yüz tutan yöresel giyim elemanlarını tespit etmek, tanıtmak ve geleceğe taşımak gerekmektedir. Denizli İli Serinhisar İlçesinin yöresel giysilerinden olan üç etek günümüzde düğünlerde giyilmekte ve sandıklarda saklanmaktadır. Serinhisar İlçesinde kadınlar düğünlerde üç eteğin altına, kendi kumaşından beli ve bilekleri boğumlu şalvar, üç eteğin içine saten veya bürümcük kumaştan yapılmış bol, dökümlü göynek giyerler. Üç eteğin beline dokuma kuşak sarılır ve başa tel kırma başörtüsü örtülürken ayağa da yün çorap giyilerek yöreye özgü geleneksel giyim biçimi oluşturmuştur. Yöre kadınlarıyla yapılan karşılıklı görüşmelerle eskiden kullanılmış ve günümüzde kullanılmakta olan üç etekler tespit edilmiştir. Üç eteklerin dikiş özelliklerine göre teknik çizimleri yapılmış, renk, desen, kumaş, biçim, model, süsleme ve kullanım özellikleri incelenerek fotoğrafla belgelenmiştir. Toplamda ulaşılabilen 21 adet üç etek örneğinin 6’sının arşivlenebilecek özellikte olduğu sonucuna varılmış ve detayları makalede anlatılmıştır.     Denizli Turizmi Anadolu Yarımadasının güneybatı, Ege Bölgesinin doğusunda yer alan Denizli, muhteşem bir coğrafyaya sahiptir. Ege, İç Anadolu ve Akdeniz Bölgeleri arasında bir geçit konumundadır. Denizli, antik dönemde bir geçiş ve kavşak noktası, ticaret ve haberleşme merkezi iken günümüzde de aynı özelliğini koruyan nadir İllerden biridir. Antik dönemin önemli yerleşim bölgesi olan Lycos Vadisi içinde yer alan İlimiz, verimli toprakları, tarihi, arkeolojik ve doğal güzellikleri yönünden zengin bir yapıya sahiptir. İlimizde; Turizm İşletme Belgeli 6.840 yataklı 33 tesis, Belediye Belgeli 6.825 yataklı 79 tesis ve 5.157 yataklı 129 pansiyon ile turizme hizmet sunan toplam 18.882 yataklı 241 tesis bulunmaktadır. İlimizde toplam 28 adet turizm yatırımından; Turizm Belgeli yatırımda 1 adet 5 Yıldızlı, 4 adet 4 Yıldızlı ve 7 adet 3 Yıldızlı olmak üzere toplam 2.311 yatak kapasiteli 24 adet tesisin inşaatı devam etmektedir. İlimiz sahip olduğu yatak kapasitesi itibarı ile yılda 5 milyon turisti ağırlayabilecek durumdadır. Dünyanın Uzun Öten Tek Irkı Kentin Sembolü Denizli Horozu… Her horoz kendi kümesinde öter, Denizli Horozu ise her yerde öter….. “Denizli” denilince akla ilk gelen değerlerden biri de adıyla bütünleşmiş, kentin sembolü Denizli Horozu’ dur. 20-30 saniye ötebilen Denizli Horozu’ nu ayrıcalıklı kılan sadece uzun ve güzel ötüşü değil aynı zamanda masalsı güzelliği, sesindeki ahenk ve duruşundaki asalettir. Beitr. 50/1 675-679 27.7.2018 Thrips (Thysanoptera) species within sweet cherry orchards in Honaz (Denizli) province of western Turkey Ezgi MAYA & Serdar TEZCAN A b s t r a c t : During the month of April-June 2013, in order to determine the species of Thysanoptera existing at important sweet cherry orchards in Honaz (Denizli) province of western Turkey this study was carried out. At the end of this study, sixteen species belonging to three families of Thysanoptera were determined. The most abundant species in this study were Taeniothrips inconsequens (UZEL, 1895), Thrips meridionalis (PRIESNER, 1926), T. tabaci (LINDEMAN, 1889), Haplothrips reuteri (AMYOT & SERVILLE, 1843) and Frankliniella occidentalis (PERGANDE, 1895). K e y w o r d s : Thysanoptera, Thrips, Sweet cherry, Prunus avium, Denizli, Turkey. Introduction Sweet cherry is a fruit which has an important place in the Turkish economy. There are 17 922 171 sweet cherry trees in Turkey and annual production is 494 325 tons (ANONYMOUS 2013). Sweet cherries are widely grown in the Mediterranean, Marmara and Aegean regions of Turkey (ANONYMOUS 2013). In the previous studies some species belonging to Thysanoptera reported from sweet cherry orchards by different researchers. In those studies, LODOS (1993) and ULUSOY et al. Premarital screening has been conducted by the Turkish Ministry of Health Hemoglobinopathy Center in Denizli since 1995. The most preva- lent abnormal variant in the Denizli province is Hb D-Los Angeles, with a frequency of 57.8%; Hb S is the second most frequent anomaly (21.9%).

Mes.Lisesi Denizli/Türkiye Denizli/Türkiye Denizli/Türkiye ÖZET Babadağ Denizli’ye 42 km uzaklıkta, 1877’ de belediye, 1987’ de ilçe olmuş, 700 yıllık geçmişi olan, sosyal ve ekonomik alanlarda gelişmiş ilçelerimizdendir. Geoteknik kaynaklı sorunlar yüzünden Babadağ’da yaşam zorlaşmış ve önlem alınma zorunluluğu doğmuştur. Çalışmada Denizli-Babadağ ilçesinde geoteknik kaynaklı oluşan hasarların mevcut durumu özetlenmiştir. İlçede mevcut heyelan neticesinde ortaya çıkan yapı hasarları gösterilmiştir. Araştırmada Babadağ’ın jeolojik yapısı, bölgede meydana gelen heyelanlar, heyelanlar sonucu meydana gelen yapı hasarları ve hasarları önleme yollarına yer verilmiştir. Babadağ’da deprem tehlikesi ve mevcut geoteknik hasarların depremle birleşmesi durumunda kentin güvenliği tartışılmıştır. GİRİŞ İlçede bazı mahallelerde mevcut heyelan neticesinde ortaya çıkan yapı hasarları mevcuttur. Belgelenen tüm yapılarda ev sahipleri oturmaya devam etmektedir. Hasarlı yapı sahipleri ekonomik gerekçeleler ve yaşam alışkanlıkları gereği daha sağlam bölgelere yerleşmeye yanaşmamaktadırlar. İlçenin pek çok noktasında meydana gelen heyelanlar sonucu yapılarda oluşan hasarlar ilçe (kent) güvenliğini ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Birinci derece deprem bölgesinde yeralan Babadağ’da geoteknik kaynaklı sorunlarla oluşan yapı hasarları ve meydana gelebilecek 5’in üzerindeki bir depremle birleşince ilçe büyük can ve mal kayıplarına uğrayabilecektir. Kent güvenliği açısından konuya kamu yönetimi ve siyasi otorite tarafından acil çözüm bulunmalıdır. BABADAĞ İLÇESİNİN KISA TANITIMI VE JEOLOJİSİ Denizli’ye 42 km uzaklıkta olan Babadağ; Tripolis antik kentiyle kurulmuş, tarihten günümüze de, 1877’ de belediye, 1987’ de ilçe olarak gelmiştir.
