Meet and Greet 2017 Junior World Champions Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya & Harley Windsor Australia’s First Junior Worlds Pair Skating Champions Saturday 19th August 2017 10:30am – 11:00am Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink Entry: Gold Coin Donation Raffle, Hat Around Exhibition performances by: Ekaterina & Harley Jordan Lazarus - Junior Ladies Majestic Ice Australia’s Senior Synchronized Skating Team “Unity” All proceeds to support Ekaterina & Harley in their Olympic Campaign Proudly sponsored by Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink & Sydney Figure Skating Club Harley Windsor and Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya accomplished what no other Australian figure skaters have ever done when they won the 2017 Junior World Pairs Figure Skating Championships in March this year. The 20-year-old Indigenous man from Western Sydney and his 17-year-old Russian-born partner made headlines around the world for their rapid rise through the ranks, starting with Australia’s first gold at an ISU Junior Grand Prix last October, the Junior World title ahead of the fancied Russian teams and 16th place in their first senior World Championships. Following their world-beating debut season, the pair has been training with the top Russian teams in Moscow with their Sydney coach Andrei Pachin, but now it’s time to come home to prepare for the Olympic Qualification Competition in Germany at the end of September. To celebrate their astounding Championship win, and to unveil their Olympic season program, Windsor and Alexandrovskaya will perform in a Celebration Gala at Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink on Saturday, 19 August 2017 at 10.30am. The general public is invited to see Australia’s Junior World Champions and support them in their quest for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games next February. .
